lol no, when I play bg3 it only use 80%
when I play black desert online it only take 60%

if your gpu goes to 100% your are facing problem or you are using too high setting or you card is not strong enought for the game you are playing

or (in this case)the game is just not optimized at all

if you want your hardware to melt run this game on ultra for 8 hours.
but I guess it does not matter any way since even on low setting my gpu goes to 100% and 95C

Low settings will not prevent your GPU usage if you don't cap frame rate.

High settings, around 60 fps, 100% GPU usage.
Low settings, around 300 fps, 100% GPU usage.

Now, if you use afterburner plus rivatuner and set the max FPS of the game to 20, with low settings, I doubt your GPU usage will be more than 60%.

There is also an option to cap your FPS to 30 in game. That should help without third party softwares.

Anyway, people saying to you that 100% GPU usage is not a problem are spot on, they are absolutely right.

A bad optimized game would be using 30% of your GPU while the FPS would still suck. It means the game would not be using your GPU potency in order to increase your FPS.

My 1080 ti is currently running at around 62C at 98% usage on max settings at 1440p which is exactly what it should be doing. Completely normal temperatures. More GPU usage is good and ideally you want 100%.

Also, heat issues are largely due to airflow or poor ventilation of your tower. My heat is barely topping 50c. Granted, I have 6 fans (optimally placed and facing correctly) and a liquid cooled CPU (the GPU is being decently cooled by just the fan set up). Also granted, I have Afterburner regulating fan speeds.

I hardly see how its unoptimized, I ran the game at 114 FPS in 1440 while streaming at 1080 60fps and it never dipped below 100. Either you don't actually have a 1060, or your PC is just garbage and you burnt out the card already.

Umm... the game runs with 40+ fps on Med 1080p for me. And I have worse GPU, 1050Ti. 99% chance that your fps is uncapped (and you will get 100% load in *any* game in that case).

interesting find, So. when in the dark, no light source at all, my gpu is at 40%, if I get 1 torch out it goes up to 70% if I use 2 torchs it now at100%, and then the more more light source I use the less fps I get and my card start to melt.

Welcome to EA. Please report your findings to the dev team. They may need to optimize that part

normal the GPU haev to work always at 100%, if less there is a problem. Different from the CPU :) BG3 unoptimized if 80% usage. Search on net, it snormal and means good optimisation ;) )= goods perfs
