Back when Steam was using its old update system however, you could start to install the game then pause it, exit steam, move the files to the Steam folder, re-launch Steam and verify game cache. I used to do that all the time when a MMO I already had installed wound up on Steam. Tried it with Neverwinter and that old trick doesn't work anymore, Steam forces a new install anyways.
Thanks for the answers BTW.
The only real reason to install any f2p MMO on Steam is to have a second option to buy junk in game, via Steam Wallet.
