Good way for a starting player to make Astral Diamonds?
Hello people, I have just started playing Neverwinter and its awesome. I have noticed all the great features of the game. I do admit some take time to grasp how it works and what to do, but once you get the hang of it the game is so good. The question I have is, how do I start to make astral diamonds? I have tried in game chat channel and the forums with no productive response, so I though I would try the peeps on my steam community :) I have noticed with my item I want to sell on the ah that I need AD to sell to make AD, but I have not gained any AD to be able to sell my stuff, seems like a catch 22 or am I missing something? any pro tips or ideas would be awesome. Thanks for taking the time to read this simple post ;)

best way to make astral diamonds is to do dailies from Rhix in protectors enclave just outside of the seven suns coster market. He has a blue ! over his head you can't miss him. :claugh:

To sell on auction put your starting bid at 25 AD or less and you won't be charged a posting fee. Selling fee doesn't get charged until after sale and is subtracted automatically from your collections. So you can have any amount as Buyout price without a charge up front.

Keep an eye on AH. Once you know what stuff sells for, you'll be able to buy low/sell high.

Stick to consumables if you can, as there's always a market for those. Without item degrade, weapon and items move much slower.

Be sure to go to MMORPG.com and grab the two promo keys right now. Most of the stuff in those packs can be sold on AH and give you a jump start.

If you have stuff you don't need, throw them in AH. It don't matter if they're only selling for 5 or 10 AD, what matters is that you'll get a lot of stuff you that will add up.

Work on professions. Leadership gives AD and once you get a profession at 3 or above, rare items begin to become available for you to craft.

Good luck.

You get 2 character slots for free. Get them both to level 11. Level your Leadership profession and use Invocation (3 times per day) on both of them to build AD wealth. Use the ZAX (Zen - Astral Diamond exchange) and buy 500 Zen to get 2 more character slots.

Repeat.

The more characters you have the more AD that comes in daily.

So AD is not character bound? its shared between all the characters on your account?

It is character bound, but you can spend it on one character and send items to another, or transfer it with a loss through the Zen/AD exchange. Anything you do on the exchange goes into an account pool rather than a character pool until claimed, so if you buy 250 Zen on two different characters you will have 500 Zen in your account pool. You can then claim that Zen on one character and buy something with it, or convert it back into AD (at a loss) and claim all that AD on a single character.

Another major way to earn AD btw is Skirmish hour events. At any given moment in the game an event is running, you can see what the current event is and the next two events next to your mini-map. When the skirmish event is running you get 1000 AD from the chest at the end, you can easily get 3-6k AD in an hour from one of these, while completing your skirmish daily for another 3k on top of that.

Thank you again for the code link, but it never worked for me. Said I would recieve them when I went to the gift vendor but nothing is avaliable, so I guess the code is old. :(

How would one go about sending items to another character? just using the regular mail system? Thank you for the original response too :)

http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?567591-Trace-s-Guide-to-AD-Creation-and-Wealth-Building

Probs the best AD making guide out there tbh..
If you need any help in or out of game then drop me your @handle an i'll add you;)
