How do I change Companion appearenace

Hello, so I reached lvl 16 and got my first companion, but I named my companion a female name, but when I got the companion, it was male. Is there any way I can change the appearence of my companion?
Also, I know I can change the name, but I can't afford it.

... or just buy a new one from the auctionhouse, and this time, pick the right name for it.

Do a few dailies and you will have enough Astral Diamonds to buy a couple of (common=white) companions, and while you're at it, don't upgrade the companions!

If you have enough AD, simply buy better companions from the auctionhouse. The upgrade price from white to green - 300k AD - will get you at least several better blue companions or even one purple from the auctionhouse.

don't buy companions from the auction house, go to the companion merchant inside protectors enclave they only cost 2 gold. you can get Waward Wizard 2 gold Man at arms 2 gold Apprentace healer 2 gold Sellsword 2 gold Dog 2 gold Con artist 2 gold Adbar shield maiden 2 gold. there are the common ones the exotic ones are much more expensive. but to answer your question you can't change appearence of companions.

Hit O on the keyboard then select find person then type in Lucifer@charleytank64 hit enter then send tell

It's easier to get enough Astral Diamonds then to get the gold as a new player, just a fact... besides, the white companions are between 500-1000 AD each on the auctionhouse.

Not to forget, same goes for the mount you can have with level 20, before you have enough gold to buy one, you will have enough Astral Diamonds for sure.
