Companion Advice

I bought 2000 zen and was thinking about starting a Rogue and buying him a companion early on from the in game store.

Do you guys have any idea of which companion to buy for that price? With a warrior you'd want a healer, with a mage or ranger you'd want a tank. But I'm not sure what to get for a Rogue.

Just don't, if you want a companion just trade some of the ZEN for AstralDiamonds and buy one from the auctionhouse.
That should be cheaper then buying a companion with ZEN. And you can buy more then one companion, since they offer you some nice passive bonus, as long you have them in the "active" slots.

The only thing worth buying from the ZEN store are epic Mounts (every character will get that mount...), if they are cheap and their price is reduced/they are on sale, and character or shared bank slots for your account.

I gave my rogue the wardog (defender, active bonus lowers your threat) from the free Zen pack you get when you first buy 500 zen.

I have never used a heal pet on any of my 14 characters so far, I usually run with a DPS pet for faster killing.

They restarted the weekly sales awhile ago so keep an eye out on the sale tab, they usually add a companion, mount and service or utility item each week.
