1. If you are NOT using Tyrannical Threat as Warlock, you are simply gimping your character by a ridiculous amount. It is the single biggest AoE ability in the entire game right now.
2. If you are playing a Fury build, keep in mind that you should not be using Dreadtheft if you are not also going to use Warlock's Bargain.
3. Prince of Hell. Why?
4. Flames of Empowerment. Why?
5. Murderous Flames. Why?
2.Yeah, I am still kinda figuring that bit out, But it seems to work decently, But is more than likely not the best.
3. I like it, But am in some situations switching it out for No Pity, No Mercy
4.Easier to pick off all the trash packs throughout questing, Doing the lairs etc.
5.I use it against bosses in lairs/dungeons, I prefer single target damage, So that is the main reason. :)
1. I have total respect if you want to play as per a particular playstyle, however, when you post a build you have to realize that people are going to look at that build and think, "Ah, this is how I must build SW". Once they figure out they are gimped without TT they will come back to blame you. This is the internet. Also, you may not want to use TT, but it is for damn sure that 99% of other people would balk at the fact of giving up TOTAL AoE facemelt domination for Gates of Hell, which doesn't do 5% the damage of TT.
2. I have already figured out all there is to figure out about Warlock and I do not mean this in a condescending way. For fury build, you absolutely HAVE TO use Warlock's Bargain with Dreadtheft. That is it. Done. If you are not doing that, there is no point in playing Fury build, because it is those two things that will make up the vast bulk of "Creeping Death" and it is Creeping Death that will BY FAR outdmg anything else you have to offer. (Obviously it means you are also thus locked into a playstyle that requires you to minimize time-not-on-target).
I shall for a moment explain the mechanics behind fury to you. Everytime you do dmg to a CURSED target, your wpn dmg is procced as a DoT over 8 seconds (iirc) over and above the actual dmg you do. This "proc" can stack a max of 100 times. This is Creeping Death. (THis is what the tooltip says after all). Since Dreadtheft fires a constant stream of dmg it procs continuosly. So you can just imagine that if you have say 500 wpn dmg and hit 50 stacks, that is +3000 FREE DPS. <----!!!!!!!
However, Dreadtheft is also a curse eater so only the VERY FIRST hit of DT will proc. You are thus required to cast Curse, then Warlock's Bargain and only then Dreadtheft, since WB will prevent DT from eating the curse.
Just to illustrate. Two days ago I went into IceSpire on a quiet night and defeated Merothrax. By myself. The Creeping Death and Armour Bonus (both free dmg) combined was worth more than all my other dmg combined.
3. Prince of Hell has only one use. SW has no natural way of getting Arpen and PoH provides a way of getting ArPen. It is however utterly underwhelming since it is only a % of the arpen you already have. Think of the trade off. With SW you are doing a really bad job if you are not getting combat advantage at least 70% of the time. While you have combat advantage you get free extra dmg and No Pity No Mercy boosts that free dmg. As Fury you only have one job. Damage output. So everything you do should be designed around increasing dmg.
Yes, I concede, it is very hard to accumulate arpen, especially with a low INT score, but it can be done to the right degree if you have (1) a stone and (2) some decent enchants.
4. See above. If you pick Flames of Empowerment you are locked into not using dailies. Yes, that is actually not a problem when it comes to places like Sharandar and Dread Ring, but then there you hardly NEED extra dmg of any kind since everything will melt anyway. It is also not how you specified your build. With ANY kind of group content though, why would you not want to use daily powers? Which rules out FoE entirely.
Also, as you may have noticed, it is very very difficult getting any sort of decent defense and/or deflection on Fury build. The Fury armour set has nothing. Regen? Nothing nowhere. As a result you are locked into Lifesteal for staying alive (well and HP but that is another story). There is an alternative. Movement. That is what Shadow Walk is for. If you are in trouble (which you frequently are as Fury due to aggro) Shadow Walk is your defensive ticket. It helps you evade red circles, get as far away from enemies as fast as possible and to offload aggro on someone else that can handle it better.
5. Killing Flames is a tricky customer as you may have realized. it does zilch against full HP enemies and is more of a "finisher". Wait for mid level enemies' HP to get to about 20%, fire it and BOOM... dead. The main drawcard for Murderous Flames is to make it into an AoE machine. Except, it doesn't work. At all. That entire feat is bugged to all nine hells. First of all, the range for it to proc is so small that you will hardly ever be in a stituation where dmg does go AoE and when it does happen.... let me say this... the total dmg for Murderous Flames in Fury build will account for LESS THAN 1% of your total. Five feat points for less than 1% dmg. No thanks.
