... character slots, when they're on sale.

Anything else is not a "rip off", but it's extremly expensive and you might question the usefullness of those items.

Yeah character slots and maybe bank space if, like me, you are a bit of a hoarder. Only when on sale and bought with Zen traded for AD.

the game pricing is so sick, I have no words. This is seriously mental and you should refuse to obey in any way you can. I bought a mount as all your characters can use it, unfortunately I did´t watch it has the same speed as mounts you can buy for ingame money too - what a nonsense to lose real money that way. Watch for 80% + speed upgrade mounts if you wanna do that and be more clever than me

I got drunk one night and spent $50 on keys to open those packs. I now have 2 level 6 dragon enchantments, an extra professions slot, and leveled up an artifact half a level. Didn't seem worht it. The sad part is, i could see myself doing this again.

omg, I´m sorry for you and those 50$ - I was expecting these greedy guys to not even put interesting stuff into the boxes

Yeah, the lockboxes in this game are awful. Drop rates for the rares are the worst out of any game I've ever played, plus I hear that the system announcements that you see in chat are fake. I'm not sure if there's any validity to that, but from personal experience I haven't gotten anything worthwhile from them at all.
Maeldras Apr 8, 2015 @ 1:28am
The in game announcements are not fake at all guys, stop talking nonsense. PM the guy who earned the rare item and you'll see by yourself that it's real.

The drop rate is low yes, but it's the same in any other F2P MMO with RNG box like that, Tera, ArcheAge, Vindictus and much more. RNG box are like lotto so expect to lose money 99% of the time.

The entire game has turned into a joke, don't waste your money on buying crap from their pay to win store. Just about anything you do to try and level up Artifacts now is such a monumental task that it drives you into madness. Trust me, save your money and spend it one other things beside this grind fest of a pay to win game.

I've found that if you don't PVP much, the only good buys were extra bags of holding and, if you plan on lots of dragon encounters, scrolls of life. The gift box is useful, but you have to transfer $5 into the ARC account. It spends the same, so its worth it. I think you'll find Astral Diamonds become more useful as you go. Remember to salvage everything 'Salvagable' for AD, don't just sell them for relativly useless gold. (I have over 280 gold and nothing to spend it on).

I have seen an old review on this game & there was the possiblity to trade Astral Diamonds for Zen, is this still the case?
Graedvs Apr 10, 2015 @ 9:50pm
Xbox one users have it worse. Prices for the same items in the cash shop are much higher compared to the PC version.

And yes, lolibus, you can trade AD for zen, but the PC version's economy is so inflated/swimming with Astral Diamonds. The zen exchange is horribly backlogged that you'd have to wait weeks for your exchange order to get through.

Yes, you can, it will only take a lot of time, consider 7+ days for every listing, since there is still a huge AD backlog.

I'm depressed about the game.. Been wanting to play it for awhile and just finally got to play it. Saw the new race when I first started the game and it said it was 7,500 gems or whatever (I first played it on the Xbox One, then the PC).. I assumed that was around 5-20 dollars. When I found out that the race, even though it comes with a few other things, was 75.. I was shocked. ;/ Why can't they just release the race by itself for 10 bucks?

It's sad because I've been enjoying the game but damn.. this Zen crap really sucks. I don't mind some games that allow you to buy crap like that, but Neverwinter's prices are a joke.. I seriously thought the price was an April Fool's joke or a bug/glitch at first, lol..
