Neverwinter

Neverwinter

Anything with mechanics pre mod 16
I used to play this game on console, and was really attached to my characters when the barovia mod dropped, and then after, they mangled class building from what it used to be. I'm looking for games that have that level of depth and wickedness because my warlock used to be unstoppable with lifesteal and the way I built myself to have a soul puppet at all times, even being under-leveled didn't matter as much, because the way I was able to build my character made up for the difference. Anyone know of anything that's got that type of system to it? I can't stand this game since they changed that, regardless of how many times I've tried. I've got Black desert (it's too much for me to take in and get connected to) ff14 isn't on my list because I'm not a cash cow. ESO is okay, but it's not nearly as intricate as this game used to be. If they changed this back to the old system, I'd go back in a heartbeat. Not bashing the game, just not into the direction it went. Thank you!

well, blade and soul is releasing its "neo" version, which is a reversal back to its glory more complicated days. b&s had snappy combat like neverwinter, so it may be worth checking out.

other then that, i always tell people that like dnd and love deep character customization to go and check out dungeons&dragons online (ddo). but its a much older game with much more complicated systems and monetization and issues of its own. still a great dnd game in its own right. (and by activating mouselook mode, you can "almost" imitate the neverwinter feel)
