VIP Enchanted Keys

If you didn't think the whole key scam was rigged just try the "free" daily key you get from VIP status.

In the 10 days or so since I've been getting them they all result in total trash - not the usual mix of stuff but literally rubbish like Tarmalune bars and Rank 4 enchantments.

Guess that's what I get fro being suckered into theri newest P.T. Barnum deal..

Besides, you can still use 200 Trade Bars to get a Coalescent Ward, then use it to make a lesser enchantment and get some AD back through selling the enchantment on the AH.

Btw. i used 7 keys today, and i got a few Trade Bars as allways, some blue boxes, an ensorcelled lockbox and an elimental evil trove.

Same goes for the coffers from invoking, sometimes you hit the jackpot with a Coalescent Ward, and sometimes you only get junk.

actually hes right they did nerf the drop rates on lockboxes. You mostly get AD or enchantments now and bars. All you have to do is play for a hour a day and see how little the announcements across the game are compared to how they were before the VIP and patch. You hardly see any mount and pet spam any longer compared to a few months back and I highly doubt the population has swinged that low in just a couple of months. Also with all the VIP keys being used now compared to before you should be seeing much more spam. I opened over 10 lockboxes and havent got ♥♥♥♥ either but AD a couple of packs and enchantments.

I still see a lot of messages during my game session, most of those players are either in PE or their Stronghold...
I check the location of those lucky winners sometimes, to see if there is something about the rumour, that you get better items, if you open the lockbox in a less crowded area.

The droprate of Trade Bars might be lower now, but i doubt that anything else has changed.

Besides, there are a lot less players around now... due to the "great" idea to have a module (Stronghold) for guilds only.
Steam Charts show a up in player numbers in the last month, probaly due to new module, but numbers are allready dropping again.

Less players, less lockboxes opened, less winnings being announced.

100 lockboxes this far, and a lot of blue and purple junk... but i also got 2 chicken mounts and 1 artifact from the Elemental Evil lockboxes.

So i can't really complain that much, i also got more then enough AD out of the new lockboxes to buy 1 year VIP, and in 5 days (when my AD is through the ZAX) the Dragonborn Legend Pack too.

But i'm not so sure, if i turn my DC or my GF into a Dragonborn then...

Then don't open the boxes/troves/whatever you get out of the lockboxes, and sell them as they are right away on the AH.

No confusion on my side, i haven't seen any "rank 4" enchantments from lockboxes directly this far. And i have opened a lot of lockboxes...

see for yourself, this is the latest lockbox, but there are loottable for every lockbox.

A lockbox key for VIP, at 1k ZEN per month, not even considering the 15% discount you can get from coupons, is around 34 ZEN a piece.
That is 17k AD, and as long as you sell the item you get from the lockbox for at least 20k, you're making a profit from VIP enchanted keys.

Well, 3-4 days left, until i get my ZEN for the Dragonborn Legend Pack from the ZAX.

Anyway, the VIP thing is not a bad deal, some nice benefits/extra abilities and with the changes to the difficulty in dungeons, even a real shot at using up all those Daily Epic Dungeons Keys.

Exact same thing 5 days in a row: 2 Silvery Dragon Scales, Draconic Enchantment, Rank 4 and Tarmalune Bars (between 5 to 10).

i got rank 7 runes today lol. But the odds are def in favor of enchantments that are not worth crap on the AH and bars and BOA crap.

shows the droprates on the lockboxes, and again, there are no real lockboxes, that give rank 4 enchantments as rewards.

check the loottables for yourself.

BUT boxes from Leadership have enchantments in them,
AND coffers from invoking also.

the real lockboxes you have to open with an enchanted keys, do NOT have rank 4 enchantments in them as loot.

again, check the loottables for yourself.

my guess, you're opening the troves, strongboxes, equipment crates, special packs or whatever it's called from those lockboxes too... and that would be your own mistake.
since those boxes are well worth from 20-100k a piece on the auction house.
and there goes your profit right out of the window.

and yes, these boxes FROM lockboxes CAN produce low level enchantments.

another guess, you have some addon running, that opens/loots any bags or boxes you pick up.
btw. please do name the lockboxes you open... i'm going for the Elemental Evil lockboxes tonight, i have another 5 VIP keys waiting, but i will test the lockboxes you name with the saturday/sunday keys, to see what they have inside.

last but not least, Waukeen weekend, those bags are selling for 500-2000 AD a piece right now, and they drop regular from enemies in your level range.
i got some crap out of them, but also 8k raw AD at some point... combined with the 2x seals event, running dungeons/skirmishes should give you a nice amount of AD for just playing the game.

Sorry, but you are totally wrong. Not only am I getting rank 4 enchantments, but all I'm getting are the BOTTOM 3 items every single time.

as you can see, the content of lockboxes were changed, there are no more rank 4 enchantments in the "new" lockboxes.

I opened 5x Elemental Evil Lockboxes this evening:
2x Strongboxes, selling for 50-70k AD each
2x Companion Fortification Kits, selling for 10-20k AD each
1x Genie's Gift, selling for 20k AD
Trade Bars, 10, 6, 10, x (missed the window), 10.
And i'm close to 200 Trade Bars again, traded in to a Coalescent Ward, which means i will probably make another 200-400k AD through selling a Lesser Enchantment.

Besides, if you factor in a discount coupon of 15% on a VIP purchase, it's less then 15k AD needed per key to make a profit.
I'm not swimming in millions of AD with VIP, but i'm sure i will get more then enough ZEN at the end of each month back through those enchanted keys.

Anyway, all i'm saying is, you can make a profit from those keys, get more VIP time from it and may be even something else too.

Keep on wasting keys, or open lockboxes, that have at least a small chance on getting something good to sell from it.

Edit: I'm going to open a Wave lockbox today, i'm not going to waste my keys on those Dragonforged...
