Perfomance Issues, on FX 8320 / R9 280x

Ok I will make this long story short, I used to have a athlon II x4 and 7770 run this game at high settings graphics wise, and med high with cpu. I lagged in town due to multiple connections and player slike planetside 2.

I upgraded to an Fx 8320, the lagged was practically gone, town was so smooth, I thought i was dreaming. Only lag is in intense fighthing sequences.

Gradually over time I noticed a drop in fps, I am not sure why but I did notice it.

Upgraded to 280x no real change.

I stopped playing for about 2 months, come back, not sure if its this patch or what.
but the game runs literlaly if im back on an ahtlon and 7770.

Does anyone have ANY CLUE why this is happening? Im overclocked to 4.5ghz, I have no issues with any other game, all oterh games see fps improvments when overclocked. Yes it is stable yes my temps are low. around 40c on gaming and sometimes a little bit higher.

Yes updated everything etc. Right now I am defragging disk to see if that woudl help.

So far my only conclusions are, A. The hard disk is showing its age or B this update sucked/updates over time degraded performance.

A does not seem highly likely.

Its not my net because i upgraded to having my own router, and it runs on 5ghz, around 2.5mb/s internet speed so dont see the issue there.

So again anyone having this issue or performance drops or something?
