Neverwinter

Neverwinter

What is best DPS class currently?
I heard that wizards are trash tier, especially Tramaturge or something and barbarians are easy-mode. Any other info?

Want to start game, do not want to waste time leveling trash class, but most DPS one instead.

From what I understand the entire game is getting a total overhaul soonish, so just grab whatever seems like fun.

I would say TR(rogue) amazing aoe and great single target. CW(wizards) are near useless unless you are bis.
GWF(Barbarians) Very good and can be fun to play
Warlock(SW) great DPS and can also be heal loadout to give you bonus ad when doing dailies

I think this time it's just the leveling process that's changing. New level cap is 20, leveling is done by going through a curated list of the old leveling zone plotlines instead of quest/combat XP, and thematically it's meant to be a lot more like the tabletop RPG. Should be like each zone's questline is an adventure module/mini-campaign. Dunno how well it'll actually turn out in practice, but as someone into tabletop RPGs I think it's a fun concept.

There is no true levelling any more XP is removed you have to do certain quest (almost like a tutorial imo .. paint by number levelling to level 20 to get ready for paint by number dungeons and trials that can only be done one way in one sequence) and then you get to level 20 and unlock all now level 80 content it can be done in a few hours with no timegate

I don't know why you tried to re-explain to me what I just said, but more bitter about it.

ive been having a lot of fun playing as rogue and ive never stuck with a rogue more than 10 levels on any other mmorpg and ive played quite a few. Every class seems like a lot of fun after playing some dungeons and seeing some of their spells and what not so im sure their all good

Just avoid wizards, they are lowest-tier in dps. Learned this the hard way, lol.
