i was like havnt played this in a while! lets try it out!
.....all my characters on my founder account and items are gone. woooowww are you fkn kidding me? they just deleted all of it? i read briefly there was a patch that did this. i cannot believe they just deleted people sh1t whelp uninstall

Well, my main account is nearly a decade old and all characters are still here, the same goes for a few alt. accounts i used for creating my bank guild and checking out events every now and then - nothing missing on them either.

I think there's no point in deleting characters, unless there was something so broken with them, that the deletion was the only option left on the table. Hell, i think they didn't even bother deleting characters that were involved with "Huntgate" and simply banned the whole account instead.

so i have come to find out that there was a server merger. so playing through steam it asked me to log in through steam. so i was supposed to put in my creds from the website there i guess or something. it inadvertently created a new account associated with steam in retrospect to logging into the one i already have. i have since created a ticket, and am waiting a response. i know my account is still there it shows 2013 on the website. thanks @wolverine for the suggestion.

Well, you don't have to play through Steam, you can just create a shortcut on your desktop to the Neverwinter.exe in the game folder, that will start the regular game launcher and you can log into your old account there.

You should also check in the game launcher options that
On-demand patching
is inactive, download the whole client, this should result in less problems with downloading data while you're playing the game.

Anyway, if i recall it correctly, there wasn't a server merge but Cryptic accounts were converted/moved to Perfect World Entertainment accounts, and you might have to contact support to get your old Cryptic account re-activated before it can be converted/moved over:

i ran into a problem with my old Star Trek Online Cryptic account at that time, had to restart on a new PWE account, but they transfered all my purchases from the old account over to the new one, so it wasn't that bad in the end.

Well, you're welcome, you might also want to jump right into the Light of Xaryxis campaign with your level 20 characters, as long as the Item Level Requirement (65k) is paused for it

unlocking the campaign doesn't take long, and this should help you with getting your characters into better gear.

Just say that you think he is lying or if you acknowledge that there is a chance his characters have been deleted like a real man, If you think he isnt then i cant imagine why youve had to go on what is obviously a lengthy explanation to downplay the notion his characters could have been deleted.

i did get a hold of support, my founder account from 2013 is safe =D when i logged into steam initially i didnt put in the correct creds so steam created a new account. support reset the steam link with it so i could re-do it with the correct account and creds. thanks for the help
