its the perfect game for it... NW is far more about the graphics and cosmetics and dress-up-doll play more than content. But housing needs to let you build it -- like base-building games -- or its ^^ what he said, all the same. I don't see it coming regardless... even with a fixed home and hook points for furniture, and even with that being partly implemented for guild houses already, its a lot of artwork and effort for an old game, time that would be better spent on some new content (and lockboxes are NOT real content). It would also add disk storage per character, which would be added cost.
If they did it, I would expect/want badly crafting access, bank/mail/etc access and all placeable stations.
