Odd Login problem

Cannot now login via steam. Tried to launch and had the neverwinter patching launcher note occur that happens now and again. Then tried to login and it asked for 2 step authentication saying it had sent me an email with a 5 digit code. No email turned up so cannot login in.

Odd thing is though that if I attempt to login by executing the Neverwinter.exe file directly in the local files directory, effectively bypassing steam, I can then login with no problem.

Most strange. Seems I can no longer use steam to login.

Unfortunately it does not work. It asks for a 5 digit code that will be sent by email as I have said earlier, but no email arrives.

Seems like I will no longer using steam to play Neverwinter after 3 years.

Well that sucks, I rarely log into my Arc account except to redeem codes, don't really want it running in the background all the time.

NO need to link your account. that is ONLY if you do not want to type in your password.

DANGER : THEY do not have a formal un link system. You have to contact their (lets just be honest) bad support and hope they grant you the privalage to un link your steam if you want to

To the OP:

You can still use steam no need to link. It seems to me that you are having a 2 factor security issue. Only way to fix that is to contact support. It might be fine now using arc but what if in the future you get a new pc. then you will need to authenticate that system even if using arc.

Not a real problem.

In future I will simply ignore steam for playing Neverwinter and login directly. Does mean though that I will be unlikely to use this particular forum for Neverwinter again, but then the main Neverwinter forum is much more comprehensive and up to date anyway.

The arc forum is also prone to deleting post they do not agree with

They once attacked me for reporting a bug in the bug reporting section stating it is not the appropriate place to report bugs

The same problem is here. Two-Factor-Authentification states, they sent an E-Mail, but I got no one.

also check they spam it is from cryptic
