Sad to say Gav but yes, all the classes are locked to their own set of weapons =/
I remember when I first played the beta last year & started a GWF, the fact that I couldnt change weapons nearly put me off entirely
Yeah you will find varients of the 2H style but that sadly is all the GWF can equip =/
Some items come with a free appearance change so if youve got your +5 Sword Of Death that you want to keep but make it look all fancy it is possible. You can also change appearance on any of your items with that of another (same class permitting) although it does cost AD & increases in cost with level.
D&D is a role playing game, restriction of choice removes that element.
In its current incarnation is nothing like the old, if i rolled a fighter i could choose my spec & how I wanted to play him/her.
It is sad to say that Neverwinter is only D&D in name & lore, there are little to no rp elements in it & the class dumbing down over the past few years entirely uneeded.
That aside its a good fun game if you can avoid its many cash hungry tricks & traps.
