My character is gone?

I remember having a good time playing this game on Steam back in 2014 so I decided to play it again after all those years.

I logged on my old account just to see my maxed out character is gone. In fact there's no characters at all and all I can do is create a new one.

Was there any abandoned characters wipeout, change of publisher or anything else that affected the accounts?

I searched my email to find anything related to this game. What I found is few emails from Cryptic from 2014 that I accessesd my account from new hardware (which I did) and Arc Games registration email from 2015.

So how come I registered to Arc Game that is needed to play this game a year after I finished playing it? xD

I cannot find any other registartion emails, I did it through first launch on Steam back then.

EDIT:
I tried to log in to Arc Games using my old email linked to my PWE account and got a pop up that my account is blocked (not banned, that never happened). So I used it to log in to Neverwinter launcher. There's a following pop up:

"Do you have an existing Cryptic account?
Thanks for logging in with your PWE account! If you already have a Cryptic account, please click 'Yes' below and enter your Account Name and Password, and then click 'Link'. This will link your two accounts.
If you do not have a Cryptic account, just click 'No'."

So when I press "Yes", they ask me for Cryptic account which I don't have I guess. When I press "No", nothing happens.. xD

Any tips?

it looks like you have to go through the support to get the account linking done.

And i'd also suggest to create a new email for this new PWE account. It can't hurt to do the whole thing right from the beginning.

So, it might take some time to get everything sorted out, but you should get access to your old account and all the characters on it.

I will give it a try, thank you for your help. Hopefully I'll get my old ranger back.

If not, that's fine. I'll treat my new character as a tutorial on how to play this game, since I forgot pretty much everything.

It can't hurt to give it a try... besides, you might have something left on those character(s), that will be of use for a new character, or that you can sell for a solid amount of Astral Diamonds over the Auction House.

then exchange those AD into ZEN, and may be you get enough ZEN in time to buy a 3 or 6 months ViP pack during the next summer sale.
As long as you avoid using your daily lockbox key on lockboxes filled with "Fashion Pack" or "Adverturer Pack", you should be able to make enough AD from selling the loot to keep ViP up and running.
And ViP is really something nice to have...
