OK, so open up the character panel, click on the Mounts Tab. On the 'CURRENT' tab You're now looking at a picture of a single mount with 4 boxes down the right hand side.
Left click on the appearance box to set how you want your mount to look, on the empowerment tab for what kind of attack you want, on the power tab for what adds you want and on the movement tab for how fast you want your mount to run at.
If you have more than 5 mounts, open up the 2nd tab 'STABLE' and you can right click on a mount to swap it out from the Active spot with one from the Inactive pool.
Lvl 1 through 20 is all gated, based on you doing quests, NO MORE XP. Lvl 1 to 20 is very much a tutorial and some say can be finished in as little as an hour.
Some of the old regions were done away with and the same goes for some of the old campaigns. They say they got rid of the under utilized one's and just kept the popular ones.
The Campaigns have changed in order of item level (The AI campaign used to be the lowest and is now the 2nd highest for some reason). Also you no longer have to grind campaign tokens to advance the campaign line. It's now just like normal questing. Do that quest (box) and it's finished and you move onto the next.
Most had the final quest changed so are easier to finish.
Normal play will get you up to 30K on your item level, to go higher you'll have to grind and farm or spend money.

but unless you balance your stats right, the higher your IL the worse any scaled content will be in the end.
And reaching 40k IL and beyond isn't a problem any longer, i've a few F2P accounts for testing stuff and running events without any ViP or other perks, and most of those characters are there with one even being above 45k.
Participating in events like the current one, Day of the Dungeon Master, will give you a lot of good stuff for free, legendary account wide mounts or legendary insignias and even mythic account wide companions...
Anyway, look for more YT videos from Rainer or Aragon in case you want to stick around and find more informations about NWO.
wow so I'm not losing my mind! I was wondering about the leveling up thing, I noticed I had to level after certain campaigns and it wasn't worth killing any extra enemies, which I actually kind of liked to do, when we were equal in strength that is...I sunk hundreds of moolah into this game the first time around, I can see that won't be happening this time around, it's not quite as fun which is a bummer. I totally appreciate all the inside scoop and will work on the mounts. It's kind of funny/sad, I was actually considering paying for one of the 'elite' characters to give them a try, but now not sure if it'd be worth it.
And nods to Logan, I'll have to look into the runs and events a bit more, even if it is just for the loot, thanks for that.
