New player: drow warlock/wizard good?
Want to start playing the game as a wizard or warlock since I like dps/control mages. Which class would be better or more fun to play as? And are drows good choice for that? What other races would be suitable for these classes?

To build a Wizard the two best races are Tiefling or Sun-Elf, but if you're a novice player I don't advise you to make a Wizard as your first character, as the Wizard is difficult to learn. I mostly play a Wizard and this one is great both solo and in a team, but it takes some experience to get a good DPS. So I advise you to make a Fighter first, which is the best character for a beginner, and with Fighter get experience and resources to build the second character. I made a beginners guide for mod 20 and I'm now updating it for mod 21, and in that guide I advise building Fighter as first character and then Barbarian. But I'm thinking about making a guide for the Wizard. The guide is posted on the ARC forum in the Guides section.

Sorry for very late reply. I don't really care about game being difficult, tbh I like challenge and I like playing as a mage so that's why I want my starting class to be that. Just wondering if drow is a good race for that. I'll look for your guide then.
Also, talk to a buddy of mine and was persuading to play it together, he kinda wants to go for pally, so I might just take warlock and then spec for healing as well. Would be nice duo.
The biggest difficulty in the game with regard to leveling up to level 20, in dungeons, and then in Adventures after leveling, are the mobs, and so the mage is superior in that regard to Warlock. However, the Warlock has an excellent advantage, it has one more companion (the soul) that from a certain level is a permanent companion. So it's not a bad choice, but it's also hard to learn, although less so than the Mage.
