Astral Diamond Exchange

Is there a solid justification as to why the PC version of Neverwinter takes 6 months or more to complete an Astral Diamond Exchange transaction? Is there a way for the Devs to shorten this time period at all?

Well, supply and demand, nothing more and nothing less. There's more AD generated in game, then there is ZEN going into the ZAX - and the waiting time is closer to 7 months now.

The Devs are doing something, they're selling high value items like 42 slots bag or mythic account wide mount for AD through the Wondrous Bazaar, but considering how much AD is floating around in game, they have to offer more of these things before it will impact the ZAX at a noticable level.

On the other hand, with changes being made to Adventures and Campaigns with rather great rewards being added to them, you can get a lot out of the game for free before you actually need ZEN for buying race packs or ViP.

That's a good valid point. I am just returning after being away from the game for a while, and I had just remembered the last time that I played it was all a lot faster, but yeah that was years ago, so I did expect some changes

I had honestly not thought about the supply and demand factor lol so thank you for bringing that to light for me. This is still a very well made game

Well, the game scales your character up or down depending on where you are and what your overall Item Level is. As a returning player it will feel like the game has become a bit harder until you've improved your character...

And while getting decent equipment is still increasing your character stats, companions and mounts are playing a vital part in that department as well, which means you have to take a closer look at those sections and figure out what you need for your class.

A huge thank you for your kind advice here. I am honestly not used to seeing kind responses to online threads I've attempted in the past, which is why I was hesitant to do this in the first place. I appreciate the clarity on the matter and feel as though everything was answered very well :) I really appreciate the extra advice you threw in there as well in regards to character progression :)

aside from high value items being sold for AD every now and then as mentioned above, they've also moved some items from the ZEN shop to the Wondrous Bazaar.

yep but that change nothing... bcs the BIS are still zs only + most items are not available like aasimar race for supporters or journals artefacts
it would be better if they going back to mod 4 things...

Well, the ZAX backlog went down from 70m to 66m, a few more surprise sales like the bag or the lion, and we'll see more people spending their AD in the Wondrous Bazaar instead of dumping it right into the ZAX.

Unlocked the Aasimar while the campaign was active, same goes for the Gith, best part about the Aasimar thing, i'm getting a free race change token for every character i play through the Redeemed Citadel campaign, but i'm mostly fine with my Dragonborn army.

And i see no good reason for dumping money (or time) into some "bis" item, that will be rubbish within a few weeks or months.

nice. i start neverwinter pc with mod 19 bcs im switch from console thats why i cant use citadel campaign... not enough gs + campaign progress... where i had 40k il campaign was over....
so every1 get aasimar + gith for free nice and newbies like me cant get the aasimar bcs its not aviable atm GG
and why should i pay 50$ for gith if all other got it for free?

Well, i think the option for grinding out the Storyteller artifacts is coming around a few times per year, and weren't parts of it also moved to the Wondrous Bazaar at some point? But i'm not sure, so you might have to look that up, i'm fine with the artifacts i can get much easier for some AD/free.

The Gith Pack in the ZEN shop is actually filled with some good account-wide stuff, only the race itself was free at some point, and i bought this pack either on sale or with a discount coupon from invoking, can't say for sure, but ZEN for it came also from the ZAX.

Yes, it will now take 7 months to get ZEN from the ZAX, tested it myself, and got 5k ZEN after waiting that long without any problems recently, but the point is, if you plan ahead, you can still get the Gith pack more or less for free.

And Redeemed Citadell campaign requires an IL of 30k, you need 40k IL for the Sharandar campaign, unless they open it up again for everyone during an event or promotion.
