Gold...?

How is gold earned best in this game, at current time? I tried to farm for it, killing hostile creatures for it, however, it did not give much for the work done.

The game doesn't seem to be very big on giving out gold and it can be a pain when you're trying to get it, so you can buy health potions.

Pretty much just play the quests.

Buying gold bars from the auction works pretty well from me. Buy a stack of 99, lasts me for a week or so which gives me more than enough time to re-earn how much I spent in diamonds, buy again

Well, i wouldn't recommend farming gold directly, instead follow adventures/campaigns and just sell the grey loot and anything you have no direct use for, that should give you enough gold over time.

Gold is easy to make (via profesions .. make items sell, for more than it cost to make... i use alts) and is mainly used for professions

make a copper item and sell it for 35s a pop.

if you mean the main currency, you can get enchantments to put in your gear that affect gold drop rate. That being said however, I wouldn't worry about your gold increase, cause outside of being able to afford removing enchantments from time to time. Gold is actually the most useless currency in the whole game. And this is a game that has a terrifying amount of currencies

Thank You for help, everyone! The gold bars from the auction house I had missed. Going to use this option from now, if I ever run out of gold again. Campaign and adventures I were already doing, just managed to use up all my gold putting my artisans to work at the workshop.

In mod 22 (jan 11) gold is used to upgrade enchantment and is needed i would say have at least 1000 gold at the start of mod 22.

I recommend having an alt that farm you gold with professions. make an item then sell it for gold profit. i find the "leather visor" is a good option(there are better) i buy the leather with copper and make a nice daily profit selling it back to the vendor.
