OK, there are 4 different mount speeds.
  • White/Green (Common/Uncommon) mounts +50%. Those are easy to get, but a bit slow, so I won't bother with them. They are generally pretty cheap on the AH.
  • Blue (Rare) mounts +80%. You can earn some of those through quests (for example, there are two available in Omu), or through events (for example the upcoming winter event will allow you to earn a sled mount). Those also drop from lockboxes, and get sold on the AH, but prices can get a bit high in particular for the best ones.
  • Purple (Epic) mounts +110%. This is what you should be aiming for. There is a handful of mounts you can earn through playing - the Siege event gives a Siegebreaker Griffon, which I consider a "must-have" because of its insignia bonus. The summer event gives a Fungal Flail snail, and the Festival of liars (which finishes today) allowed you to get a flying broom for only 50.000 AD. The upcoming winter event will allow you to earn one, but it is not as good as the others. If you play many characters, it may be a good idea to buy a mount from the Zen store, as it can be claimed by every character, but it is a bit expensive if you play just a single character. Purple mounts also drop from lockboxes, so they are also available on the AH.
  • Orange (Legendary) mounts +140% are an end-game thing - everyone wants one, for the bonuses, speed and combat powers. They only drop from lockboxes, but the drop rate is low - expect to have to spend 10-20 million AD to buy one.
Finally, you can increase the speed of your current mount if you are in a guild which has unlocked the mount speed bonus boon. That can give you up to an additional 20% speed boost.

For a brand new character, the following event will allow you to earn a rare (blue) trained Grizzly mount and an epic (purple) Heavy Worg mount.: https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/11012733

The Masquerade of Liars event ends today, and it's one option for a 110% mount without having to pay real money for it... getting all the resources needed will take some time, but it's still possible.

is the next event in line, starting in 23 days, with another 110% mount as reward.

i think there was something being said about a rework for this event, so i guess we have to wait and see how that one turns out.

im kinda brand new started last week level 47 so will i get a mount through this event or not?

no, "brand new" means level 1 starting after today's patch.

As I mentioned above (and Logan did as well), the Siegebreaker Griffon from the Neverwinter Siege event is one of the best Epic mounts you can get (and easy to get - just have to participate in the event for a few minutes every day.). The reason I say "best" is that it can give you the "Wanderer's Fortune" insignia bonus, which is really a "must-have" for solo play.

Also, get a sled mount from the winter event. Eventually you will want a set of 5 mounts with the insignia bonuses you need for your class/build
