Difficulty past level 60
My m8 and I seem to have a problem defeating mobs and quest encounters past level 60. Any tips beyond spend money? Or anyone interested in helping with quests?

then you most doing something wrong ? ( im also new to the game, 2*80 within a week )

do quest from every low level zone, until you cant beat a boss in a cave ( solo )
this can be done to level70 then get undermoutain Campaign get gear from chest all level 70 gear free.
then headback to all those places and cleanup old zone asap. then you are 80.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

every zone has bounty marks, use them to get gear ( dps gear first ) not all zone drop marks for full gear at shop , depend on quest and what youi did get bounty marks.

xp boost comes from stone in right slots and if in a guild you can have xp guild boost enable.
even gold drop stone could be a good ide.

companion buy them and send them to trainning 6 or more is required see shop and then unlock skill from 6 into 1 then they are trained to level 20-25

this is a poor man minimum advice, but sure alot better advice from other guide problem is gold and AD currency,

then 80 go AH look for level80 gear with AD to buy cheap gear. sorting by class and look at evey slot item ( show only 400 thats why you need sorting per slot and dont show all AH items )

playing 2 is alot better , do team up with other. ( this game need healers and tanks ) never say no to help them up. ( they are needed in end game alot, only DPS rush through, problem is the other 2 classes is mandatory later and all dps rusher will fail, ofc depend on gear and item level + stats requirements for the dungeon )

try get a guild any is better then nothing, guild actual boost you if skill is enabled.

dont forget crafting and mount's they do help abit depend on gear they have or you can make. craft all lines up ( takes time ) ( have a main line with 3 in it and 3 gather and rest is with 1 in it then you have a idea what i did.

dont forget 1 que for random dungeon per day ( more later then you have right requirements )
this gives you AD a currency you need later thern you hit 80 or level up and to buy better gear at AH

as i said this is a short guide with minimum explanations, and alot of players know this.
i dont want to overexplan things, but let me make it clear game start at level 80 and campaigns also, this is where you will see it good you do did all low level area quest first before ( repetable quest and campaign kick in and send you back to all over the map and earn campaign bonus that help you better at 80

buy vorpal/Lightning 10-12 lvl + companion with 3x13 Bonding and armor with Offense Empowered
Adinos Aug 20, 2019 @ 7:00am
There is some content which unlocks at level 60, which is not really doable at that time - specifically, the Dwarven Throne campaign, as in includes some lvl 70 enemies which are simply too hard at level 60. If the mobs you are fighting are around your own level and you cannot defeat them, you are doing something wrong.

It could be something simple, like your ArPen stat being way too low, or maybe you are not getting enough assistance from your companion....it is hard to say without knowing what your gear and stats are like.

Thanks for the votes of confidence, everyone "must be doing something wrong" /eyeroll.

It's the 3rd mission of the Underdark Campaign we're having trouble with and it seems to be because the fighter companions don't hold aggro. Otherwise a ranger and a warlock would have no trouble at all duo'ing everything.

Will look into the vorpal gear suggestion.

first of all you say "can't" instead of "can" its hard to someone to understand you when you are using bad english, thats a first, the dude just asked for help and you first said that he must be doing something wrong, maybe the guy just needs some real tips not some pompous kid that has spent 4k euros in this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game to come here and act all grand and stuff, for i been playing this game since closed beta and i can only say the only way to beat the game is to pay since the first artifacts introduction and removing the neverwinter gateway, gateway was a browser mini game that let u manage your professions and get free stuff while not even in game, so yes, basically you have to pay or quit.

i went to elder scrolls online, its pay to play, no pay2win elements and only subscription available if you want more content, this game was a favorite of mine till they started wanting more and more money.

u can do better if you just quit pal, trust me, i spent 3 years in this game playing hardcore and the only good things i got was some perfect vorpals, 13 characters and some other perfect armor enchantment, just to have it abandoned because of the abuse of the devs wanting money.

You grind for hours, 8 hours, or you PAY.

The very beginning of undermountain campaign gives good free starting gear. You can refine the free artifact weapon for your class up to Legendary quality if you have the marks and refinement points of course

another flaming troll here.

past level 60. Any tips beyond spend money?

please read carefull what OP do say.

and yes i stick with you most do something wrong. ( this is a mini guide without going into every little detail as play for free ) even you say pay for it or Farm, ) nothing is further from the truth.

but it seem you are more offended by me then OP, try to make a campaign with lower level and not cheap AD gear from AH. it so cheap that we all laugh at you. if you dont get the random dungeon, hey fair enough if you dont get it. gl with that.

you might have played this from Beta, but that dont mean you graps all the change along the way. maybe you should ask your guildys they most know this. what to do and how to get better gear cheap and faster.

there is gear at AH for under 200AD and you sit and complain over alot of other issue.
you need a kick in the butt to wake up.

go do a random dungeon and earn alot more AD then you spend on AH

have a nice day. cya.

Sorry if you don't like it, but that's just a fact. This content is supposed to be easily soloable - if a pair of players cannot handle it then you are simply doing something wrong.

One obvious problem is that you mentioned "fighter companions". Sorry - those are just not that good - they may work initially but once you get to level 70+, most people will go for augments.

Another possible issue is that your bonding runestones might be too low level, or your companion gear inadequate. That would lead to your stats being too low. The most important stat is Armor Penetration. At level 60 you want that to be close to 40K, at level 70 you aim for 57K, at level 80 you want 68K - and eventually 80K, in order to deal with ToMM. If your stats are lower, you deal reduced damage and you will have problems. (The same applies to Critical Chance and Accuracy, but those are less important)

There is also the possibility that the build is sub-optimal or you are not using the best powers, but that's less likely.

You can easily get "good enough" gear for free. If you want to get BiS gear, you have basically 3 options:
  • Grind a lot .... we are talking for 5000+ hours here.
  • Spend some real money - $1000 or so will take you most of the way.
  • Be smart and make a lot of AD, typically using the AH. Making some tens of millions of AD is certainly doable.
However, you don't actually need to be "BiS" to enjoy the game, and as I said, you can fairly easily get to the "good enough" point.

Well, as mentioned above, daily Random Leveling Queue runs will provide you with enough Astral Diamonds to improve your character for getting through most of the campaigns without major problems, and without having to spend any real money either.

You can exchange any Seal of the Adventurer or Crown in Protectors Enclave at the Seven Suns Coster Market for some extra Astral Diamonds, just look for the Seal Trader there. Keep in mind that those seals have a 1200 seals maximum limit...

Now let's start with equipment, you should be able to buy new rare equipment from the Auction House every 2 levels from 70 to 80 since those items are really cheap, and then just keep on using the Rank 8 enchantments from the equipment set you got through the Underdark Intro quest in them.

I wouldn't recommend refining any artifact weapons before you get the Alabaster Weapon Set from the daily Master Expeditions at the end of the Underdark campaign, since upgrading most other sets would be a waste of your resources and time in the end.

For a decent class build, go to https://nw.mmominds.com/ and see what you can find there, or ask in the official NWO forum https://forum.arcgames.com/neverwinter/categories/class-forums-pc for help.

Companions, Energon is the cheapest epic companion you can get, and it gives you 24k HP bonus, Rank 8 Bonding Runestones will do for now, just get better ones from the Auction House when you can afford them. Pointed Necklace, Ring and Belt are less then 1,5k AD together at the moment, and those items will do until you get the epic companion equipment (alllways collect the 9 relics from Expeditions for that!) from the Underdark campaign.
To boost your current active companion, buy up to 5 cheap rare ones from the same category (Fighters, Creatures, Invokers, Mystical, Beasts).

Mounts, start with a few rare ones, and equip them with fitting rare Insignias to activate their bonuses, then keep an eye on the in game Calendar (press L, Calendar tab) for seasonal or returning events with epic mounts as reward like the Siege of Neverwinter, or buy one cheap epic mount from the AH for the 110% movement speed bonus.

https://forum.arcgames.com/neverwinter/categories/guild-recruitment-pc
joining a decent guild will also help.

When running into tough enemies that you can't beat with 2 well equiped characters and their companions, try reading up about those enemies and how to fight them, then boost your stats with potions you can buy with Gold from Merchants in Protectors Enclave, or buy better Healing Potions to use during that fight - and if that also fails, press L, Claim Valuables, Promo tab, look for the Stardock Treasure Chest, get it and "buy" a Stone of Health from the ZEN shop with the coupon. If you allready have used up that Stone, get another one from the AH.

For more help you might want to add more concrete informations about your character and where you're currently having problems.

only thing left for OP , can we agree get to level80 faster before going into campaign mode, is better and faster then struggle through it, as lower level charecter ?

questing xp is faster then dungeon/campaign imo.

ps.
still think its best then get level 70 gear go back and clear old area asap, before all campaigns send you there to do campaign stuff. / as i recall 70-80 was done in a day/8hours+

this person is probably working for PWI
Iceira Aug 22, 2019 @ 11:27am
@Yaminabofficial

First of all, who is PWI, then its PWE / Cryptic Studios

and you are a troll, its you that want user to pay for game content or Grind 8 hour. maybe its about time someone told you to STFU or we will report you for saying pay for it.

i think a steam moderator will ban you if you keep going on and keep brake every steam forum rule and say stuff about other people. ( this will be last warning ) stop name calling and say things about other is also breaking the rules , this is not facebook and other forum has hars rules. dont make this game forum like them, where people cant say anything without step on some ones toes.
Iceira Aug 22, 2019 @ 12:10pm
