first companions

I am new to Neverwinter, and I grabbed the Sheltered Wizard's cache which says I get one Wayward Wizard companion. After looking in my collection, it says I have two companions.
But when I look on my character page it says I have no companions that I can summons.
Now, I grant you I am new to Neverwinter, but could some one please help me understand this!

The collection shows companions that you have had in your inventory at any point, but to make the companions "summonable" you need to bind them to you.... just double-click on them. The same goes for mounts - the collection page will show mounts you have used, but they do not go into your stable unless you put them there.

I don't know what level you are, but Sgt. Knox will give you a quest to get your 'first' companion, telling you how it all works etc....

If you haven't got that quest yet it's possible you can't use companions yet.

well, NavFamG, I have gotten that quest, and I still have to summons the companion. That is where the problem started. I cannot find the companion under the companion tab of my character window. Like I said, in my collection all it says is that I have 2 of 547. I do not see any images that I can dbll; click on as Adinos said "but to make the companions "summonable" you need to bind them to you.... just double-click on them" call me a Ditz, but I must have missed something. help me please

they're most likely in your inventory. use them in your inventory to equip them

Once you bind the companion from your inventory (double click it then name it) you can hit = to bring up the companion window to view, summon and equip companions. Hope this helps
