question about the mouse in-game
Can I use the mouse to choose some options on the screen, e.g. the inventory, map? All I seem to be able to use my mouse for is movement and fight? I have to use keys to access different options, like for the inventory, and so on... I don't know how to use my mouse for that.

You can press left alt to use your mouse.

Does that pause the game? The screen sort of greys out and it says "Press Alt to return to game," but I can see the NPCs moving around...

It doesn't pause the game no, it is an MMO remember. All it does is free the mouse up so you can access stuff on the UI.

One of the more annoying aspects of the game yes.
