Level requirements for Ravenloft content?
As the title asks. I really only played this game for a week or so when it first came out. Haven't touched it since. I do like Ravenloft though and would be interested in checking it out as long as I don't have to level a new character to whatever max level is.

To my knowledge, Ravenloft campaign requires the level cap of level 70. It has no equipment level requirement, though, as it gives you a basic set of viable gear right at the start of the campaign.

In order to pick up the initial quest that sends you to Ravenloft, you have to be level 70. You do not have to have great gear - in fact, if you go there and do a short introductory quest, you will be rewarded with a full set of gear (with slotted enchants) and artifact weapons. Not top-of-the-line gear maybe, but good enough to make it much easier to catch up.

Getting to level 70 is much easier than it used to be...this is in particular due to changes to the leveling curve between 60 and 70....it used to be a painful grind through the 4 elemental areas, but is now relatively quick and painless.

If people are in a hrurry, they can mostly level a character up just by doing random dungeons and I know it can be done over a single weekend.

Now, getting to Ravenloft is one thing - surviving it is another. In general, I find it easier than Chult, in particular during the day - as a fellow guildie said: "During the day, you kill monsters, during the night, monsters kill you".

Still, a well-equipped character can take on even the toughest mobs, like the Night Terror.

I think my highes level character when I quit was 20. Not really interested in in working up 50 levels just for one section of content.

Oh well, thanks for the replies.

One estimate is around 60 hours of playing if you follow all quest chains and such, and less than 20 hours if you focus on just doing dungeons during 2xExp and other stuff that gives a lot of Exp.

I doubt you will learn to play your class properly in such a short time....I recommend taking it slow.

I'm not gonna take it at all.

Oh can it with your pathetic attempt at an insult. I only asked what level you needed to be to play the Ravenloft content so don't expect me to thank you for all that extra I didn't ask for.

Thanks for taking the time to explain the op question. I was wondering if there would be a level cap to be able to play Ravenloft. I'm level 48 with one of my characters, so only 22 levels to go. Hi ho, hi ho, its off to neverwinter i go........ ;-)

go at 70, the intro sequence gives you a reasonable set of gear if you've just capped lvl.

Is there a fast way to grind to 70?

unless you've allready unlocked chat/auction house/trading on your account, you might want to do that before grinding to level 70.

and the regular quests, invoking plus a few dungeon/skirmish runs will get you to level 70 fast enough.

No grinding for me, I just completed the standard missions. I was level 48 a few days ago now I'm level 67 after 6-7 hours of playtime. As Logan said the regular quests will get you to 70 no problem.
