my NWO review with a collection of links.
and welcome to NWO.
You probably could play a Temptation SW, but some players will still prefer a DC or OP when creating a group. And i remeber something about Temp. SWs having problems during some phases in the Ravenloft Castle boss fights...
I would say the order was like this:
1) DC
2) OP
3) SW/CW
4) GF
5) GWF/HR
6) TR
the OP everytime (if its set up right), though the heals and supports from an templock SW bulid isn't nonthing to laugh at either btw
I just dont get one thing, how is SW among the lowest dps in the game, usually locks top dps.
Just like some other classes, the SW can have multiple builds - some more DPS-focused than others. Some people like having a Templock (buff Temptation build) in their party, but a SW that focuses on healing and buffing is never going to be top DPS.
You can also make a serious DPS build - in fact most SWs have one of those too - even if they only use it for solo play. This is the nice thing about loadouts - you can have multiple builds and switch between them as needed.
Well, as a DPS SW, you are competing for the same "slot" in the group as GWFs and HRs. Many people don't realize that SWs can do massive damage and rather want to go with the "proven" DPS classes. If you are 17K IL, you should not have any problems, though.
Because, group support is greater than personal DPS especially at end game
theres a reason why TR aren't in a high demand and DC are, (and its not because of their healing ability)
and for that same reason players would rather have a SW that can do damage AND buff/heal the party at the same time.(also debuffing depending on what route you take)
