can deal decent damage/tank or heal, doesn't need perfect equipment/companions/mounts to get through nearly anything, good for starting into NWO or testing new content.

works with pretty much any class
Do you like big damage numbers? Go for a GWF or HR.
Do you like being very hard to kill? Go for an OP or maybe a GF.
Do you like having fancy spells? Go for a CW or maybe a SW.
Do you like supporting others and be sought after for group content? Go for a DC.
Are you a masochist? Go for a TR.
Of course, the various classes have drawbacks as well. GWFs are fairly easy to play and do very high damage - however, there are so many of them that it may be harder for them to get into some of the end-game content than for some of the less-popular classes.
