NEVERWINTER EPIC FAIL AFTER MOD 16 many players left game for ESO.
The game has become a desert all abandon the game after mod 16 exit and the cause is the team of incompetent cryptic.

You're absolutely right friend I also played from beta and I liked it very much I was in a guild that emptied itself after mod 16 all my friends and guild mates left the game and went to play at ESO the developers are greedy idiots they only think about making money and have destroyed the game.
I wouldn't say "ruined", but Mod 16 has caused them to lose maybe a quarter of their players, and wwhile there are numerous contributing factors, the primary one is the attitude of "we know what is best - play the game our way or else..."

Many players took the "...or else" option and went to play some game where they are not treated like idiots.
In fact many players and youtubers who were previously on neverwinter now play ESO have abandoned after the mod 16 and all this because the cryptic team are just incompetent idiots.
The fact is that Mod 16 just was not ready for release when it went live. It has been slowly getting into shape, and now it is actually reasonably playable. I am not going to say it is "fine" - it has issues - I am really unhappy with how flexibility was reduced and players were forced into restricted heal/tank/dps roles, and the RNG on top of RNG is just stupid, but the difficulty is pretty much right and the gameplay is decent (then again, I just play a cleric - other classes may disagree).
I have a warrior and I had everything to the max with jewelery now useless the damage has become ridiculous there is no more regeneration or steals life recovery and bonus useless companions you have to redo everything from scratch including the jewels created now useless maybe you are cleric and you can still but trust me like many other dps have left the game see player UNFORGIVEN you can not do anything and the game has become embarrassing.

That thread is from April. It's really not relevant. The issue was that scaling was implemented in a, well... not very intelligent way - OK, they made some design decisions that I consider outright stupid. They have now reverted much of that, and fixed other issues, so that problem is gone.

As for removal of life steal, that's a good thing. People were used to bad practices, "standing in the red" and relying on lifesteal to heal them up to 100% immediately - basically you were either at full health or one-shotted dead.

Mod 16 punishes bad playing and you actually have to dodge and avoid attacks now. Combat is a bit more challenging, to me it actually is more enjoyable. If anything, I would complain about the solo content being too easy - there is nothing that is even remotely a real challenge for a well-geared player who knows how to play his/her class.

People may need to rework their characters, though, and as you said, there are some big changes. Some companions that previously were good (like the 3 Archons) are now next-to-useless, while other companions that previously were ignored are now in high demand - augments, energon and minstrel to name a few.

As for gear, well... yes, with the level cap increqase from 70 to 80 you need to replace most of your gear, but that's fairly easy....and you can even exchange the enchantments at no cost, so getting a properly equipped character is not too hard.

Getting absolute BiS is a slow process of course - the drop rate for the IL 1000 gear is painfully low, Alabaster weapons take a while and the Watcher set is just a pathetic joke, but the rest? meh - not a big deal. People should have pretty decent gear within 2 weeks of reaching L80.
You speak as a cleric but if you had a war you would change your mind the war does not survive and their primary source was precisely recovery steals life if you do not recover hp you do not survive and you are a meele you are under attacks not in the distance like the dc or other classes then As for the companions and jewels, I do not agree that having to do everything every 2 months, I find that it is only a maneuver for them to spend time and money and it is very frustrating, another thing is that they have removed all forms of income. now for example the maximum is 100 k ad to absurd account the crafts are useless and very expensive I had a guild liv 20 pro that has emptied in a week after the mod 16 and all my friends have now gone to play ESO and enclave if you look at the instances are empty compared to before for this I tell you that the cryptic team are just idiots.
I spent a lot of diamonds and time to make jewelry for my companions and now they have become useless as the same companion runes have become useless now they have put new runes and you have to start all over again it's frustrating believe me having to do everything every 2 months I will never go back to neverwinter, I played since beta 2013 and I have seen changes but never
  frustrating like this mod 16.

I do have a warlock...two in fact, but the cleric is my main, and I play as DPS, not a healer, so I don't understand why you seem to think survival would be any easier than for any other DPS.

As for companion gear, yes, the old gear is pretty much useless, but you get much better gear just by doing the campaign, so what's the problem ? No need to spend anything...just play a day or two and you are back even stronger than you were before. The enchants changed, but you can use the exchange vendor if you want - no need to spend a single AD or any time.

Regarding income, yes, I am somewhat disappointed that crafting is effectively useless - I have max rank masterwork in every profession, and it is effectively worthless now - however, I can just make my AD otherwise (I managed to make a few million AD just by trading stuff after M16 hit), and we will be getting new crafting stuff in M17, probably in September anyhow.

I have not noticed many people give up around me - I think only one high-ranked long-term player in my guild left. However, many players play less than before - some even only log in to run 3 MEs and claim their daily VIP stuff.

I really don't understand what you mean about a need to "start all over again"... I don't see anything like that..

what am I supposed to be looking for in an old, unofficial public community topic that is nothing more than peoples opinions on the vanilla version of Mod 16?

(and honestly they seem to talk about DDO and mmo games in general more so than neverwinter and mod 16)

Adinos : sorry but you pay those of the cryptic to speak well of the game? I do not understand why you say that now it is better if in every site everybody thinks badly about it and on youtube it is full of videos of disappointed people who left the game it is not true that now it is better I tried to make CN and believe me the party died they were all as tall as players even CR or codg now they are inpossible many even die in missions daily or well of the dragons so do not come to me to say that now is better. about what I have to do again I have to redo all the runesmates that I had before in the brutal companions now they are no longer useful so I have to add 14 runes that cost millions so don't say that now everything is simpler is not true it proves it fact that many liv 20 guilds have broken up and all my friends are now on ESO so ask why all this if as you say the game is better now, don't you think it would attract more players instead of making them run away?

then the forum talks about mod 16 so it's not old if you look on youtube you will see that many famous old players have all left the game for ESO after mod 16 cause very bad news and idiots team cryptic incpompetents.

Many players left game just after the release of the mod 16 many players have left and the same comments show in these videos I do not say only myself but many players who had also tried the preview and after the release shortly after disappointed abandoned in mass.

as we said before, what was released initially was an unplayable mess which never should have gone live. Things have improved, and what we have now is a lot more reasonable.
Man no offence but you can leave the game. Cryptic whont lose anything. They just cleared old players from the game and new players will be lil "wow what a game i`ll play". The last thing: everyone leaving?? Seriously? and your argument are youtubers wideos?

honestly he's late to the party at this point. most of the videos / links he's posting talk about the initial launch of mod 16 and its scaling not of the updates that have been done already or where the game stands atm
