I remember playing Neverwinter on Xbox One when it was released on it and I really enjoyed it and noticed that you could get new Character Slots fairly fast by trading AD for Zen. But it seems they have changed the currency system a bit too much...

At first I thought it was a bug that I saw nobody selling Zen for AD but then I noticed something else... The maximum amount of AD you can offer for a single Zen is 500... And currently there is almost 2 million Zen to be bought with the same exact amount of AD... That's idiotic! I'd rather overpay than wait months to get my Zen... What the hell is was the reason to make this change? Why am I asking... Of course money... Can't really blame them but this limits my experience way too much.

I don't want to pay for a game that forces you to buy premium currency with real money. It should come as a primary option but should have a secondary way of obtaining it if it limits the gameplay...

Get ARC points from doing ARC quests in the ARC launcher, look for a small scroll icon in the lower right corner of the launcher, and use the points to redeem ZEN.

The ZAX (ZEN to AD exchange) hasn't change over the last few years, the ZEN still comes from other players, and that 500 AD per 1 ZEN limit ensures, that everyone has a fair shot at getting ZEN in time.
The current 2m AD backlog means, that when you list your ZEN buy order today, you probably get it fullfilled in 2-4 days.

And there is allways a higher demand for ZEN, when they're about to release a new update.
So, the smart way would be to build up ZEN between updates.

Anyway, no one is forcing you to spend money, there are options to get ZEN for free, but to use them is up to you.

Alright. Thanks for the info. Was just horrified to see so many poeple buying Zen and thought the horrors of having to wait weeks, even months, for my order to fullfil. But if it is only under a week of waiting I am fine with it.

I checked the AD backlog a few minutes ago, and it's around 1.2m AD. When you list your ZEN buy order now, it should go through within 1-2 days. The conversion rate is around 500k-1m AD to ZEN per day.
Just keep in mind, the backlog will probably rise a lot more until May...
