I am just guessing though. As far as i know there has been no word from Woolf on the subject since, so he is probably coding and correcting.
But indeed, China DLC is the most affected map regarding this subject. It became harder for bots to farm, indeed, but it became almost complete waste of time for normal and fair players.
There are PLENTY of carp.

But easier, you have 37000 silver. You can just buy some cheap bottom or float rods around the 20 kg and fish like normal, except with different rods than you are used to.
