I wouldn't mind buying it as a DLC because I don't see myself ever getting those unbalanced mountains of XP
??? There is a Ticket in the Shop. 1200 Credits and 10 Tournament Tickets.

I'm fine with how it is. I am way ahead of every new player that starts now. But with level 41 I need 4 more level to play in greenland. Why? because I didn't play for a long time. I can not even craft leaders, because I have 0 achievements. ^^
Am I envious that other players spend more time with the game and are able to fish there? No. Good for them. ^^ There are way enough other water bodies where I can fish.
Your opinion may be different, that is ok. I'm fine and who cares? It's a game.
We got lootboxes and "pay 2 Win" equip in the VIP shop. The "WoW token" with the auction house, where you can exchange $/€ for Credits. ^^ In my opinion we got enough "pay 2 win" content allready.

Technically any sort of 'winning' in this game can be achieved via tournament (currently disabled) or top rating player/club leaderboards. Getting silver via cash shop or some rod setups won't make any difference except allowing you to be ready to compete earlier but if you have no clue how to catch the fish it won't help in any way.
The people interested in this type of gameplay usually like to experiment and are not grinders. Sadly I don't know many players like this so voting with our wallets won't make a dent.
FO by definition is Pay 2 Win. It doesn't matter if there is "nothing to win". You can spend money and have an advantage over ppl that does not spend money. Some of the best Setups are RL money only.
Greenland is a End Game map and reaching the End Game is a long term goal. Nothing that should be skipped with RL money. If ppl think they want to level faster, I heard a rumor, that the China DLC is good for EXP. It seems some ppl reach Level 40->45 in 2-3 Weeks, they say.

Edit: I just do not understand ppl that say "Please let me spend money, because i do not want to play the game". if you do NOT want to play the game, you can have it for free. Just uninstall it. ^^
O_o, everyday is a school day. Could you tell me more bout these setups please? Is there some special code to unlock these or maybe not available in my country? Everything I've seen in cash shop except baskets seems to be weaker than in-game counterparts and couldn't find anything similar to t-force, sadly.
This game is about catching fish so if you enjoy catching koi for 3 weeks then good for you. I'm personally nearly all the time on new map since release and only burned through half of my tokens. I could be level 45 by now but as I said, games are entertainment for me and grind is not my idea of having fun so I don't grind, i just catch trophies of different fish and explore.
Now my very important question to you. What would it take away from you if someone could just pay money and enjoy fishing on new map. Would it affect your bite rate or something?
My point is this one is larger and bigger and i feel that the 2 hours time there is not enough , obviously you can pay your earned silver and buy tickets to visit as you do with other waters this one IMO for those trying it out you need a bit more time there.
I know that 2 hrs are not much, but every ticket is 2 hrs. The only "problem" I see are the tournament tokens. You do not have any tournaments at moment, all tokens you get are from the monthly ranking.
If you do not know where to fish, copnnect with other players via forum , club, and or discor. Share information with other players. The russian and chinese players do it all the time. One of the main reasons why they catch fish.

The only viable token source is catching a lot of trophies and releasing, small fish like loach are very good for that, get in and then farm haddock/saithe/cod with float rods once in so you can stay there for very long. They are alrightish exp and bite like machine gun so you can actually make silver and level up this way. It will take hell long though, in a fact long enough to get burned out on game all together
The rating boxes won't get you far as even top 20 box is quite poor while compared to how many tokens you need to actually play some considerable time on the venue. It can be only an additional source if you manage to get it.
Getting 30 angler tokens from doing daily quests or getting 10 improvement tokens, which can be converted to 10 tournement tokens, are not that difficult to get.
Plus for you mate for calling things by it's name, "a reward for grinding". That's what it is, that's what I said and that what I see as a problem as there is no similar reward for eg. silvering all the maps or catching all the trophies, the game is now about 'grinding' and even you became top player of the month several times in a row you'll only get tokens to temporarily play on that map. Grinding FTW!
The game path right now looks like: make it to ukraine->grind trophy loach and sell the boosters so you can buy three sticks and upgrade chair with tokens->grind koi in china with sticks till level 45-> congrats! your'e now 'elite endgame player who put loads of work into the game and deserves that'. Try to play any different way and you'll be a forever noob who didn't put any effort and deserves to be talked down to everywhere.
Know what, that's how 'the other game' was looking like shortly after it's western launch, when 'volkhov' was top venue. Get to old burg, get red sicks and farm the hell out of eel and small grass/black carp.
What stick rods are the best to grind on Koi? Also don't forget to eat that soup it gives good amount of boost 😁.
IDK mate, I'm just a noob and never done that.
