Bots!!!
Hi @Woolf, please DO something, they are ruining the game for everyone else.

H.T.L02@92737
Jerzy@99110

You REALLY need to do something about all the bots around mate... It is very dissapointing that nothing has been done lately, also that you are not responding to ANY of the posts made about the bots...

why would I answer something if all these bots get automatically blocked sooner or later?
Why would I spend a lot of time constantly responding to these messages. Just ignore them

But what is sooner or later?

Also, it is hard to ignore cheaters, just saying.. They are the bane of every game

I ignore them all the time. It is really easy. I just did NOT buy the China DLC. Problem solved. And even IF I would buy the China DLC, I would just disable the chat.
They do not hurt me, they do not take anything away from me and I do not have a weak Ego, that I could get jealous, just because they level faster than me, or catch more fisch.

It's near impossible to reach Top 100 anyway, if you have any kind of RL, but the Bots do not even play for the rankings. ^^

Bots get used, because Chinese Players like to play with more than one Account at the same time. They play "the other Game" with 6 Accounts and more. And they use the Bots to level all the Accounts. Otherwise it would take too much time to reach Level XY with multiple Accounts.

They could potentially hurt you as a legitimate player though. The in game crafting system is reliant on certain fish size catches, to make certain baits.

It's not inconceivable that botters are targetting certain fish, turn them into bait, and sell them on the auction house.

This in turn would press prices down, not giving legitimate players the ability to make enough money to buy equipment upgrades.

We will see what happens, but auction house disruptions in other games are almost always due to botters/cheaters.

Just because something COULD happen, does not mean that it will happen.

And your example. IF they would sell baits in the AH, I would be able to buy cheap Baits, which I can use to make more money, because I do not have to spend that much money to get the baits and I do not have to use my caught fish for crafting Baits.

Beside that, this is a fishing game. You make money by catching and selling fish. The AH is not neccessary to make money.

I just got 4400 Credits for the last week, just because I am the only person in my Club. 4400 Credits for just playing the game, as passive income...
That's on top of the Credits i got for selling my fish, for doing Dailies or Credit Quests and on top of the Ranking Rewards.

Maybe Woolf is waiting for bot accounts to change hands and only then block them., just a theory....

Maybe there's another reason, same reason why tournaments have not been enabled again.

I have already said that so far I dont have an automatic bot detection system, but I am already close to it. Each action created by the bot increases the probability of its detection in the game logs. If he catches carp in China, then I "don't see" him, because thousands of people catch carp, I can't check them all, but I control the catch of all fish in the first hundred by weight, as soon as a bot appears there, I see it. I monitor goods and prices at auctions, as soon as I see an abnormal picture of the offer or price, I do an investigation and so on. That's why I'm saying don't worry about bots - they're constantly getting permanently blocked. In April alone, about 30 accounts of such players were blocked.

Thats pretty fair, but at least look into it when the community sees bots and report them :)
I hope the "bot detector" will be done soon :)

The best detectors are human players. Now I am going back to levelling up my chair.

They should be observed and carefully studied, so don't spook them 😉

This why I setup my chair and hide in the bushes, to see if any bots will try to sit on it.
So far no luck, but I will keep you posted.
