how do i make Horseflys

I have done it before but something has changed I have used my recipes and have been to russia Pra but i still cant figure it out. can someone enlighten me? thanks

Have you tried the insect trap with insect bait?

The Recepie is 1 time use. You get the Recepie from Kards or buy it in the AH and than you can craft some horse flies. Or you buy them in the AH.

I think the flies need to sting the horse, and then you get horseflies.
I could also be completely wrong.

While you do that, search Google what botflies do to chipmunks and squirrels.

You need a recipe and an insect trap. You can use recipe only 1 time and you get a 70 horseflyes. But you can just buy them from auction. 3.5 or 4 is a good price. 100 horseflyes wiil cost 400. Recipe is cost a lot more than 70 horseflyes that you can get with it and insect trap will break after a while and you need to spend 2470 to repair it and you will loose 20% of durability. Or you can use repair kit to repair an insect trap without loosing durability but it cost a lot too.

You need the fly king recipe and use it (only needed once) , then you deploy your insect trap somewhere (the composter is for caster bait - not horsefly) and hit E to open the insect trap. Your craft for horsefly should be there under the "baits" tab (needs 100 maggot + 40 fish offals and 1 algae)to make 80 horseflies in 2 hours time
