Can someone please explain..
How on earth it is possible to catch a 300kg halibut? I don't understand it. The heaviest rod I have seen in the game is a 60kg deep sea rod. I know it can be upgrated, but can it be upgrated that much? And how about line and leader?
I caught a 90kg polar shark on my 55kg deep sea rod. But that was only possible because they act like some of the sturgeons, they swim in a straight line like if I had hooked a tugboat, so I could sail after it until I almost ran out of sea and it luckily ran out stamina.
But a halibut don't act like that. They make runs and rushes, which must make it almost impossible to sail after it. Can it pull the boat perhaps?
I'm not accusing anyone for cheating or something, I'm just curious.

Don't understand the problem? You follow it just like you would a shark and when the halibut is exhausted you pull it on board.
the technique consists of overtaking the fish with your boat and the fish will change course, be sure to cut it off as soon as you see that it wants to go into the open sea or off the map, also think ahead, because if you let it going too far it will be impossible for you to catch him before he is on the high seas or off the map, my record for your information is over 350 kg

But then you have to let go of the rod and put it in the rodholder everytime you handle the boat, right? And the fish often escape when you do that. I guess i have to catch some bigger fish and practice, it sounds difficult to me. Anyway thanks for the answers.
350 kg, damn, I'm impressed!

Use the inflatable boat that you can steer while you drill

yes you do not have to put down the fishing rod, only use boats that you can control by keeping the fishing rod in your hand, the kayak, the inflatable boat, the boat with the automobile type steering wheel and the boats offer this possibility

i do not waste my time with those big fish...they can have that silver metal.
you are right the big fish are not the most interesting to catch, the small ones bring a lot more, but for competitions or challenges, we sometimes have to take the big ones too and catching a very big one is still fun, when we arrive at the go out, because without technique and without mastery we cannot take them out even if we have the best equipment
