Crayfish bite rate

So I'm trying to complete crayfisher challenge and so far I been fishing in France and Russia and I'm noticing that bite rate for crayfish significantly went down. Right now I'm getting 1 crayfish in the morning and another one in the evening, so this bite greatly reduces my chances on landing crayfish required for this challenge.

Yesterday I had no luck getting crayfish and I tried France and Russia, so now crayfish is completely off the table.

I also took a long time but to increase the bite rate I used thinner leaders and a maximum of 1.5 kg, I had the impression that they had become suspicious, try with long thin leaders and colors similar to lake water in which you fish and with very small dark colored hooks.

Thanks for the suggestion, I already tried this with leaders plus pepperoni GB, I think they simply don't spawn and this issue needs to be properly addressed.

i have been useing 1.25 leaders i think and all i get is large mussles
