you don't always have to ask. If there are any abnormalities, we will certainly act.

I wasn't asking for the sake of calling out cheaters was actually wondering if they get that big in the game

the description used on the store page

Fisher Online - online wild fishing simulator. Forget about licenses and catch rates. Choose bait or lures and catch fish in Europe and Russia.

There is a huge difference between a "simulation" and a "simulator". :P
Even WoW "simulates" a Fantasy World.

The "In RL it is XY" is a damn old argument. Just because it is that way in "RL" doesn't mean that it got implemented "that way" in the game. The main reason, why it is a game and not a Simulator. A Simulator tries everything to copy reality. A game just represents the activity and has own rules, because not everything can be programmed like in RL (yet).

I don't see a problem here. After certain changes in the fish's AI a few days ago, it now doesn't run away from the player so quickly, which allows it to be exhausted and pulled out . smithystuart - you yourself complained that the fish goes over the edge of the map, didn't you? Now she does it much less often. Hence the new records.

It does seem impossible to reel in a 590kg (1300lb) shark with a 42lb (92lb) rod. There must be some magic in the air to land such a beast on such light fishing gear.

You know they fish for sharks IRL with reel around 25-30kg Drag?

No, nothing is impossible in reality. Approximately such gear is used for catching sharks, tuna and large halibut. Only a person is tied to a chair and pulls the fish with a special grip. The main thing is to exhaust the fish. Well, the polar shark in the game and in reality is not particularly fast and strong, it is a slow and lazy fish. That's probably why they live for 500 years.

Although I can honestly say that I myself have no experience of sea fishing. All I caught in the sea were small flounders in Italy.

Real life:

~566 kg polar (greenland shark) caught from a kayak on a Penn International 50VSX reel (20/25.4 kg drag depending on setting):
