As concerns gear & lvls - well, nothing is fair. But as far as I know several tournaments are carried out at same time (+/- 1hr probably?) - Poland, France & Italy. If you want fish with less strength and weight - you can always go there.
I think TFO tournaments rules should rather limit players by type & amount of rods (like no 3xfeeders of 1 player vs 1 fly rod or spinning of another one).
As concerns gear - in real life competitions, organizers dont ask anglers to use rods only from 1 manufacter or just 1 exact model. There're some limitations on type of rods, their amount, lures/baits etc but thats actually what we're asking Woolf to do here.
You're manipulation the facts - Italy is higher lvl than France and Poland is just several levels below. There is no big level difference in them. As concerns level based competitions - thats one of the stupidiest idea as gear in TFO have no level requirement and some high-level players actually do like to visit maps like Russia or Poland. Locking competitions behind the player level would just throw away a big part of gameplay for lot of players.
As concerns so called "big experience reward" - this 10k experience reward is ♥♥♥♥. Its ~6-8 decent fish catched or 2-3 daily quests done. Its not a best idea to spend 50 minutes in tournament hoping to get experience reward when you can just catch "better" fish.
Thanks for the honest answer mate. I think that's what I hinted at in my first post. I was just wondering if there's a way to even out the playing field. The experts told me "no". I came 13th in that comp. I knew the spots, my catch rate was great. I just wasn't able to skull drag those 18kg+ carps like others so didn't get those extra minutes to increase my total weight. But hey, I'm not complaining, I just asked a question.
and is regularly in front of us!
while we are more with the equipment of 30 and 40!
every player has a chance!
a player with lighter equipment and fishing much faster!
we fish in the same place, with the same bait!
but he catches much more than we do!
its equipment being thinner
and this is very good :)
to precisely avoid that the "big players" win everything!
This is not the case!
Woolf is very well balanced.
I know my answer is not pleasing ... you think I am lying or that I am unable to fish with big equipment.
* one of my "friend" has just removed me from his friend list because my answer frustrates him ...
some are not looking for answers to their question
coming here.
this is a pity, nobody wins anything.
I have already won several times, but I have also lost many times, against players with smaller equipment.
for info: I have done all the tournaments since the first day, except 2
another point, you don't always have the chance to win. you can be in the right place, with the right baits.
but the fish will not come enough.
sometimes (but not always!) you need to put equipment: bigger or thinner in the same competition.
change the projection area.
you think: your friend is successful with a montage, you have the same!
so you have to win too?
no!
it doesn't work like that, sorry
as a general rule, there are two or three fishing zones which are profitable, BUT only one is EXCELLENT!
It's up to you to believe what you want, but this is the truth and the reality of this game!
*and in addition have even received a negative review of the game really a shame not to have been able to help you better understand the game
