Your starter deck is alright but needs to be improved. The tonal and gameplay shift is rather jarring, but the card game is still the core rules, just have to re-learn how to build a deck since you're in charge of it now. It plays more similar to Magic the Gathering, but a video game. You have to find hidden cards and booster packs, and defeat easier enemies to get stronger.

Perhaps if you are using the beast deck, you could get some bone cards at the graveyard so you can combine these. In this way you can utilize the bones you get when your beast cards die.

Act 2 can definitely be hard at first but as long as you hang in there you'll start to figure it out. Play around with the deckbuilding and try to incorporate some of the other types in with the death deck, I'd recommend using beast or tech types as good bone sources. Try to keep your deck as small as possible as well.

The main problem with act 2 is that you have access to very few cards and if you don't randomly get the cards you need to beat at least one of the bosses you cannot progress. The training dummy should have been made available at the start of act 2 so players could grind foils and start improving their decks.

I think the main issue is no side deck, so you cannot reliably get zero cost cards to get the ball rolling.

Yeah. Squirrels are seemingly useless in Act 2.
Skeletons are just better.

I saw some ppl here and reddit who actually just used that. Usually the ones who are having trouble lol

Strange right? Play a deck building game. Don't wanna build your own deck.

In all fairness Act One has you building your deck over the course of the campaign, some people who aren't used to building a full deck from scratch might get whiplash and have their brains absolutely fried by the concept. I wish I was joking but I decided to get my friend to play this game and it was like watching a toddler stick the triangle block in the circle hole, complaining every step of the way. Some people's brains just aren't built for that level of thinking. I don't even think they figured out how the sacrifice mechanic worked, like... they placed cards down by sacrificing other cards but somehow wondered why they couldn't place their wolf down despite me reminding them ten times over. They certainly weren't stupid, they are one of the wisest and most respectable people I know. Their brain is just built different I guess.
