(Not Kaycee's "mod")

I think the game's super deep and making your own cards and card packs would be super fun.
Games like Wildfrost are SO small- I'd love for that to be given to the community for different "Kaycee's Mod" versions- where they can change the intro screen, cards, dialogue, bosses (if they try hard enough) change how long a run is- ect ect ect~

Hello there!

We appreciate your enthusiasm and thank you for checking out Inscryption, it means a lot to us!

The depth of Inscryption indeed allows people to test the limits and see how creative they can get which is why I am happy to share that the modding scene of Inscryption has done a fantastic job at creating TONS of mods.

If you haven't checked them out yet, I suggest you to check out the following:

You need to install the Thundestore application. From the application, all you have to do is to find Inscryption and install the mods. You will have to launch the game through Thunderstore to run all the mods.

Here is a tutorial showing how to install Grimora Mod which you can use to install other mods as well!

If you ever decide to join either one of our Discord servers, feel free to reach out to me! :ccknight:

Search up "R2ModMan", it is a modloader + a mod browser mod installer, it pretty much does everything for you if you are on a Windows device.

Awesome, but 3rd Party mods require Discord and other website downloading.
Which is a *huge* turn off

I was referring to an integrated version within steam that people can upload to and download from. That is customer service, Discord is just not a good solution.

Joining Discord is optional, the folks there can help you in case you have any issues with the mod installation process which is why I thought it would be beneficial to add it there. You don't have to join it!

We currently have no plans to add an official Steam Workshop integration as the team is fully focused on our next game, Pony Island 2. We value your thoughts and ideas though! It helps us to shape the future development process of our games.

In any case, if you decide to try the modding scene, I hope you enjoy it! :pleased:

You're asking about modding but against using third party software?? Are you new to the modding scene?

????? ..Man. You are asking for mod support, are you new to modding games? You're not going to get far with that type of attitude towards it, it's like a mechanic refusing to use tools. Try it, you know I'm right.

Downloading mods through 3rd Party Software/websites and *creating* mods through 3rd party software are not equivalent.
One focuses on the creator making something, the other focuses on how it's distributed to the customer.

I'd like to play mods without being chained to a 3rd party program found on a website that probably has phishing problems

Plus- If I'm going to bother spending months of my life making a mod for this game- I'd rather it be for a real reason than a mod nobody will find on the back half of a website no one uses.

(Edit)
I have the Cod Black Ops 3 Mod tools installed, and getting mods is an easy delight!

Thanks for being super obtuse though, I love fights this petty :)

I am going to assume you're new to the modding scene.

I thought I wrote this for a second. I agree, to try and use mods but be vehement against 3rd party distributors tells me you don't want to use mods. Hundreds of mods for games like Xenoverse 2 or Sparking Zero are on Nexus and Gamebanana, this goes for hundreds of games.

I feel like this thread will spiral out of control, so if you intend to proceed with the discussion, please keep it respectful for everyone. If they don't want to refer to the modding scene outside Steam Workshop, that's fine. Otherwise, we have already provided all the details they may need to download & use the mods.
I'd like to clarify, any program found on the same program "Steam" is considered a 'secondary' *First-Party Program*
Any program found on a website, or via a google document- is considered a 'secondary' *Third-Party Program*

Third Party Programs are not convenient, and introduce complications in customer process; and potentially saftey.
I will not be checking out the modding scene unfortunately, but I appreciate all the info!

Have a lovely day
