I got the Caged wolf to die, but never received the card from it?

As the title says, I can't seem to find a solution to this. It definitely died, but I never received the stunted wolf

You haven't indicated whether or not you've played the game before or not, but given your statement, I'm guessing you haven't! You're not meant to get the Stunted Wolf from the Caged Wolf. The Caged Wolf will turn into a wolf after you get it to die in the battle. You unlock the Caged Wolf statue that's sitting on the table next to the chest with the slider puzzles. Pick that up and take it to the other table next to the chest, where the squirrel statue is :)

If you have further issues the game will give you a huge hint on what you should do to fix the problem- it's a whole animation, super hard to miss
