Lost the Caged Wolf?

I was messing around in the game with no clue how to free the caged wolf. So, when I got to the one sacrifice stone (the one with the skull) I sacrificed it. I got the achievement, but since then I haven't gotten it back in my hand. Is there a way to fix this?

You're not meant to get it back in your hand.

When you get up from the table, is the wolf statue free from the cage?

Oh gotcha! Yes, the wolf was free and I was able to place it + get the knife. I just thought I was supposed to get it back since the other alive cards have things to say I figure he may of too. Ty!
