Kingfisher deck
Now you shall beat skullstorm with it.
Hey there!
First of all, thanks for checking out the game. KMod was a gift to the community after so many players have shown a great interest in Act 1's aesthetics, gameplay, design elements. In a sense, it can be accepted as some sort of an "Ascension" mode of Act 1 with each tier getting more difficult (and also providing some lore pieces). As the game intends to feel fresh despite taking you back into the very beginning, I believe it has to make the player face severe challenges in order to learn, adapt, and beat Leshy once and for all :) Luck, indeed, plays a great role in KMod in addition to the structure of your deck and sometimes it can feel frustrating. I suppose it is the nature of unpredictability of the RNG itself. I've gone through all the comments here —and some folks were extremely helpful with their advice— and noted a few things.
Feel free to share even more of your ideas and thoughts!
Interesting. I'ts been quite awhile since there has been any type of moderator or developer response in these forums.
I see that you have helped with the translation of some of Daniel's games.
Does the fact that you are looking at the ideas and thoughts of others mean there might be a possibility of more Inscryption content, or balance adjustments to Kaycee's Mod?
One can only hope.
While I cannot confirm anything about what is on the schedule, I can confirm that Daniel has finished working on Inscryption and there are no updates planned for it at the moment. However, the next game has been in the works for quite some time and if you haven't already, I recommend you to join our Discord server to both stay up to date and share feedback.
Also love the new final boss. Heave, ho.
Thanks for the info Secundus! Appreciate it.
Also, just some feedback that you can share with Daniel or any of the other developers on his team if you want:
I've played all of Daniel's games on Steam so far, and can't wait to try his new game. So I am aware that all is not as it seems in his games, and that they always come with a 'twist'.
With that said, even though I love all of his games, it was a bit disheartening to hear all the negative feedback on the forums from other players who didn't know or get that a twist was coming. Yes, I know that most people (including me) understood what was happening and were positive about the game, but the minority of people that didn't get it were very vocal.
I guess what I'm getting at is that it might be helpful to put something on the store page of the next game that clearly says 'all is not as it seems'. I personally don't need a warning like that, but it might help prevent some of the negative feedback from people who aren't aware that Daniel's games have 'surprises'.
Thank you for your time. :)
No worries, in fact I brought this to Daniel back when the game was first released for beta testing and then when he fully released the game. He was prepared to receive such reactions even while the game was being tested. I believe it comes back to how much you want to reveal before actually diving beneath the iceberg. Now that we have a wider audience knowing Daniel's style, perhaps that will change with the upcoming game!
If you can get a flying with 5+ attack or a mantis god with poison it is doable. Yes a bit heavy on rng in the first section. It gets easier the further you get.
search a new game maybe stardew valley?
haha, Yes, i got gud (and lucky), you most likely only read the title and my og post. I quite like the game now. Still think it has some problems.
