Is it possible to just get hopeless card packs?
I'm playing an undead deck in act2. As far as I know, I have collected all the booster card packs that I can. I defeated the Angler and the Prospector. I cannot get by the Trapper or Grimora. They've rolled me 10 or 15 times each. One time, I got halfway through Grimora, then she smashed me. I have defeated all three ghouls of course, but haven't yet solved the wishing well which is still active. So is the coffin under the floor area. I suspect that once I defeat Grimora I will be able to finish that area.

Not really looking for spoilers here, but are there some cards you just have to have? My deck runs out of gas in about 3 turns.

I will be honest, when I played undead, Grimora was really hard to beat as well.
My adive would be, to try to .... use rare cards. Yes. They are pretty powerful, and with the right setup/lucky draw, you can kill one of the bosses - then go over the bridge to the Magus, reach the dummy, and farm sleeves to get some better cards/packs.

My 'win' card was the bone pile. I had quite a few gravedigger and similar on the board, minimal cards costing bones (except that one Necromancer which paired nicely) and added some blood cards. Mage cards are basically useless, though Energy could also maybe find a place, since you get that recource passively (so, include a fatty energy card that you can play in later turns)
Go to the magic tower and repeat fighting the practice dummy for coins, and buy more packs. There are a few different ways to get the 666 achievement, which there are guides for. If you work on doing that, you'll have all the money you need for getting more bone cards.

Thanks for the replies. I have now lost to the Trapper probably 40 times. 0 wins. The games basically go the same way - I block/defend against toads and rats, then run out of bones on turn 3 or 4, and then am overwhelmed. And if I get a good card out, the hopping trap thing defends and kills it. So I have to get 2 good cards out, while defending like mad. I can't block the Raven, so it's sure death.

Am I not supposed to be playing a pure death deck? I don't see any other cards that I can even play. Can't get a an animal out without blood.

As far as I can tell, I cannot get out of the Leshy/Grimora area of the map. the bridge isn't built, and the Angler won't help me get to the raft.

ok, I figured out what I was doing wrong. When you sacrifice an undead, you use that hammer thing. But when you sacrifice an animal, you click on the animal you want to play, and then sacrifice. This causes blood, not bones. Whew,
