Can't get the Agonizing Remorse achievement on pc

Literally following all the instructions to the letter and it just won't give me the achievement

I recently got it, by deleting the file right after the corresponding card was destroyed.
I emptied my trash bin, too to be sure.
Just don´t forget to do this before the fight has ended, then you will get a special commentary and the achievement.
Did this not work for you?

I deleted the file and emptied my recycle bin as soon as the card died, but I got no special commentary or the achievement. Am I supposed to get the achievement mid-fight or afterwards? If the former, I can just restart the fight right now, but if it's after the fight then I would have to potentially redo act 3 again to try getting the achievement

you get the achievement after returning to the map, after the fight is over, if you are worried about having to restart the whole act, maybe backup your save?
