Fused Pelts?

So I have the trapper followed intermediately by the mycologist on the map layout. My only duplicates will be pelts. Out of curiosity I went to the wiki. I saw the words and the words are without question in english but I'm still very fuzzy on the subject. I still don't know if fused pelts are good to trade or not. To put it another way: a fused gold pelt would get you what exactly? Fused versions of the same class of card that you would get from a singular gold pelt?

Yes. Fused pelts make the creatures on offer into fused versions as well. So a fused gold pelt will get fused rares.

It is also worth mentioning that a single spliced pelt will result in the entire category of respective cards being of the fused variety. So if you have a single fused rabbit pelt, but 3 regular rabbit pelts, you still get to pick 4 fused cards even though only one of the pelts is fused. That's sometimes the part that makes it most worthy, that you can get multiple fused cards all at once without having to find multiple duplicates and mycologists that run, including rare cards.

edit: also worth noting that fusing pelts multiple times over will not stack this result, and putting sigils on pelts has exactly no effect on trades either, save your resources on those ones
