I loved Grimora's and Magnificus' designs so much, I really wish I could fight them more. They have all these unique mechanics and art style, kinda weird to see that the devs put all that effort into these 2 scribes considering you only play against them for a few minutes.
Oh, and btw, I felt exactly what you described. I thought:
"wow, the other scribes look so cool, it's a shame they went by so fast. Let's try to replay act 2 picking a different scribe so I can fight the other scribes in act 3..."
Then I did the whole thing again and was negatively surprised to find out that P03 is all there is to act 3 lol.
Still loved the hell out of this game though, one of the best and most creative pieces I've played in years. I hope they let us play more against Grimora and Magnificus on a future DLC and/or sequel.
You didn't really lose anything after dying, you just get dropped off to a tower and have to go back to the spot to recollect your cash. In leshy's act players are scared to lose because they'd have to start a whole new run again, making us WANT to try harder. The fights themselves weren't even that hard, it was just a stalling game till you could effectively send out offensive units.
Yeah, could be. Still sucks though haha. But hey, at least they gave us Kaycee's mod, been having lots of fun with that.
Really hope they give us more Grimora and Magnificus in the future.
A version of the Inscryption card game in real life would also be very cool!
