Without resetting? Cause I wasn't done yet. I missed some puzzle stuff. And I liked the Act 1 gameplay better than act 2.

What puzzles could you have missed? The game is intended to be a linear experience, so besides opening the safe, opening the puzzle drawer, getting the caged wolf, getting the knife, getting the special eye, everything else is optional and is just there to make your ability to finish Act 1 much easier.

Unless you've finished the game there is no way to change Act, and doing so would also make you lose progress in whatever Act you are currently in. Through and through a linear experience.

Just a few of the achievements I wanted to try. Missed a few cards, didn't get to see everything, etc. Plus, I really liked that version of the game and want to play more of it.

My partner installed inscription on my pc after i finished act 1 on my account. She's logged in, made sure to start a new game, but cannot start in act 1 ?

Choosing "new game" on the main menu starts act 2, as intended. Note that this choice isn't available on a fresh game state, only the continue option is.

If you want to start back at act 1 you should either complete the game first and choose the first option at the chapter select screen (tutorial part, basically acts as a reset), or completely reset the save (a real reset, in the options menu).

Well you can do it, just have to not do the final puzzle. Or Kaycee's mod for more

Yes it would have been interesting to have a separate save slot because it's impossible otherwise to show the game, or share the game at act 1. So if you have any child or friend you want to show the initial game to, it's impossible!

Once you complete the game you have access to chapters but for a real reset you can disable Steam cloud, backup your current save folder if you want to then remove it and relaunch the game that should consider it's the first launch

*But yes that's not has easy as if there was a built-in save slot system tho
