How do I download Kaycee's mod and what is it

A gamemode with only Act 1, thats more roguelite than in main game.

Its in the betas.
Right click on Inscryption in the list of your games.
Properties -> Betas - > select Kaycee's mod from dropdown list

if you don't already have it in dropdown, type in "givemeascensionmode" and it will give you it.

Kaycees Mod is Essentially, Act one on repeat with you able to do challenges o unlock "Hidden files" with lore implications each log unlocked when you hit a Threshold. I believe it can only be unlocked after you complete the game but i might be wrong. Uusally when you boot up the game there will be a red skull which leads to Kaycees mod,if you dont see it, you have to complete the game first

I wasn't going to initially respond, because I saw it was from 2021, so the method of which to unlock Kaycee's Mod had changed, so difference between the date of the original post to now is wholly different

You don't technically have to beat the game any more, if you wanted to jump straight into Kaycee's Mod, you can do so at the main menu with the following, Hold Shift K & M altogether, then the Red/Black Button will appear

Was for those that don't necessarily want to play the game as intended, but jump straight into the challenge mode of things, those that love ACT 1 & get a different amount of varying playstyles with all the new content it comes with
