Linux Archivist
I'm on Linux, the Archivist just showed me some stock Windows computer. Was kinda cute. Didn't feel like going through the whole thing finding the biggest file or any potential easter egg. I just threw this 100mb file that was in the Steam folder.

Kinda sad I didn't get to throw the whole Monero blockchain file at the Archivist.

Not really a windows computer, it's just a barebones directory using a GUI; same style is used on file storage sites, android, etc. As the user of your computer you probably know which files are large and which files are old, as well as where they are stored, so while it is a pain it's not difficult to find a large file, but the fight is really easy, probably the easiest, so it barely matters.

I mean the files displayed were not in my computer at all. It was just a literal clean install of Windows with Steam and Inscryption installed. Among other things I suppose.

I am guessing the developer did not anticipate compatiblility with Linux then, interesting. For me it showed all my actual drives and files.

That's just the way Proton works. It creates a virtual file structure and that's what the game sees, not your actual Linux partition.

I bet with the dd/fallocate/truncate commands (and sparse file support) you could build TiB-large files to throw at the boss (i.e. full of \0 bytes which weigh actually nothing)

I'm on POP! and it gave me a C:\ and a Z:\ the C was like you described and I suspect is part of the wine layer in Proton the Z was my root folder so I kept selecting dev\char files (all 0KB) because I was sure as soon as I picked a file with data the weight would be added to my side. Now that I have finished I would like to play that fight again and try giving it dev\core (140TB) to see how it reacts.
