Why would you want to play it on the go?
That's like having 2 copies of a book, and in 1 book you are on page 50, but when you go outside you read the other book and start on page 1 again.
Not judging, just... really really wondering... alot.
Edit: Also, (minor, probably unimportant spoilers) you would not be able to uncover the secrets on anything other than pc i think.
i just like the game and would like to play it while im on deployment with no internet access.
Personally I don't see why this game should be ported. Point and click games are a rarity on console for a good reason. Many interactions require use of the mouse, not just keyboard, and that poses a UI and game design problem. For example (spoilers, can't give an example from this game that wouldn't spoil beyond the basic card gameplay, which could easily suit controllers) in Act 3 there are hidden areas, how would you implement the hidden arrows without a cursor? The idea is you move your cursor around and reveal them, but imagine trying to do that on console... You would have to have a cursor. However even if they did integrate a mouser cursor, trying to use a cursor with an analogue stick is a janky experience, hence why console games try to remove the reliance on such a thing as much as possible for that reason. There are other examples in Inscryption, but I don't want to waste time listing every little thing.
As someone has pointed out there are much better options if you want games that will keep you entertained for longer periods as opposed to this linear experience, with weak replayability.
This game was published / developed by Devolver Digital, and they typically port their indie games to consoles. Hell, sometimes they hit up Limited Run Games for Physical Versions.
Basically tho, especially since this game got so big, I think it's safe to expect a Switch Port. Not sure when, maybe 6-9 months as a guess.
that would be awesome! thanks for the info.
1. The dev(s) could be working on some sort of expansion / definitive version of this game, and would rather release that on switch than the base game. This game did get some backlash on release, so they might want to make those improvements before porting it to consoles.
2. Devolver Digital (the publisher) has had their hands full recently, as we saw in the latest Indie World direct. They might simply have their hands full with other projects and need to satisfy those agreements before moving onto this one. Since this was game was such an unexpected, smash hit, I can totally understand the devs not having console ports be their top priority.
With all that being said, I have no clue when a switch port could release. I'd think they'd have announced it in the Indie World if it was coming anytime soon, which is unfortunate to say the least, but hey, OMORI and Oneshot are coming soon, so that's something.
Feels good to finally give you this news.
I know you haven't responded since, but I hope this makes deployment a bit more bearable Chewie.

So yes it is recent...
lol
Also why would they not be able to ' discover' secrets.
This game is on ps4/5 ya know?
This has always been a pet peev of mine but it seems nobody knows that it's only a necro if the new post it's off-topic. (check Steam's forum rules if you don't believe me. I was surprised by that too). OP saying the switch port was announced is definitely on-topic, that isn't a necro.
My post isn't a necro either, I mean, aside from that massive paragraph above me, which I'm only typing because I know someone's gonna complain about it if I don't. So there, I did nothing wrong, I just want an XBox port.
